Jamestown boss to focus on future during New York RE Tech Week

Jamestown president Michael Phillips will reveal how his firm is using innovative new technologies during a keynote presentation during New York Tech Week.

MIPIM PropTech NY, the flagship event of NYC Real Estate Tech Week, will take place on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at The Metropolitan Pavilion at 125 W 18th Street.

The event is being jointly organized by Reed MIDEM and MetaProp NYC, the early stage PropTech investment, advisory and startup acceleration firm.

Phillips is a driving force behind several nationally recognized adaptive reuse developments including Chelsea Market in New York, Industry City in Brooklyn, Ghirardelli Square in San Francisco and Ponce City Market in Atlanta.

He has been consistently recognized for his innovative leadership and ability to build modern urban communities. Phillips is the Vice Chair of the James Beard Foundation and sits on the boards of Friends of the High Line and the Real Estate Board of New York.

In his keynote presentation, Phillips will discuss the innovative technologies that are reducing friction and improving efficiency in the commercial, retail, and residential space. He will also explore how retail spaces are becoming increasingly personalized with the use of PropTech.

Attendees will gain insight into Jamestown’s future perspective on the real estate industry in North America, South America and Europe. Michael will also touch on how millennial behaviors are shaping real estate.
