Jockey rides into Empire Outlets

Jockey International will open its first New York City location at Empire Outlets.

The new store, scheduled to open in Spring 2019, will be located steps from the Staten Island Ferry alongside 100 other designer retailers, an artisanal food hall and open space.

The 2,744 s/f store will carry the company’s apparel, which includes undergarments, activewear, sleepwear and loungewear. The family-owned company now has more than 100 stores in the United States, is sold in more than 145 countries around the globe and counts the biggest retailers in the U.S. as its partners.

Joseph Ferrara, principal of BFC Partners, developer of Empire Outlets, commented, “The addition of Jockey brings us another step closer to delivering an unparalleled lineup of retailers at Empire Outlets, which will soon become the premier shopping and dining destination in the five boroughs.”

James Prendamano, CEO of Casandra Properties Inc, leasing broker of Empire Outlets, said the vast majority of Empire Outlets’ retail and restaurant spaces are already leased ahead of the opening this Spring.
