WHO’S NEWS: Residential appointments and promotions

Sotheby’s International Realty Affiliates announced the appointment of Julie Leonhardt LaTorre, global real estate and management professional, as chief operating officer.


LaTorre is responsible for overseeing the global servicing and operations functions for the Sotheby’s International Realty® brand.
LaTorre will lead a team of global operations professionals around the world and will oversee ongoing affiliate services to drive strategic growth goals and objectives for the brand.
LaTorre has nearly 15 years of experience in the real estate industry. Prior to joining Sotheby’s, she served as senior vice president of affiliate services and head of operations, EMERIA region, for Christie’s International Real Estate.
LaTorre has also held positions as a commercial real estate finance attorney at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP and Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft LLP. She is fluent in Spanish.
The Corcoran Group President and CEO, Pamela Liebman, announced the appointment of Brett Forman to the position of Senior Managing Director of the Corcoran Carnegie Hill office.
Forman began his real estate career at Corcoran more than 15 years and was the Corcoran 2006 Rookie of the Year.
He was also a member of the Corcoran Ambassadors Circle, an advisory group for Corcoran’ executive management team. Forman left Corcoran and expanded his real estate experience as sales director for several major condominium conversions before returning to Corcoran in May 2016 as an agent in the West Side Gallery office.
Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group announced Sabrina Radoncic as the Sales Director of 277 Fifth Avenue, a luxury condominium in New York City designed by Rafael Viñoly with interiors by Jeffrey Beers.


Radoncic’s most recent experience as the Sales Director of 188 East 88th Street has prepared her for the new position, where she will oversee four members of the sales team.
With over 20 years of experience selling luxury residential developments, Radoncic has established long-term industry relationships with New York’s most reputable developers, earning repeat business due to her personable and detail-conscious methods of sales and leadership.
Radoncic earned her B.A. in Psychology at Fairleigh Dickinson University and went on to earn her M.S.W. in Clinical Social Work at New York University.
Nikki Field has welcomed Benjamin Pofcher to The Field Team, the #1 Sales Team at Sotheby’s International Realty in 2016, with over $2 billion dollars in sales.
Pofcher is an experienced New York real estate professional who has closed everything from new development sales in Chelsea, gut renovation offerings on the Upper West Side and marquee deals at 845 UN Plaza and along prestigious 57th Street.
With previous roles in public relations and venture capital, Pofcher has a diverse skill.
He attended the University of Montana where he was a collegiate ski racer.
TOWN Residential announced that industry veteran Adam Taylor has joined the firm’s Astor Place office as Director of Sales.
A veteran with over 30 years of luxury sales experience, Taylor will work alongside Danielle Elo, Sales and Leasing Manager, and Larry Goldblatt, Leasing Manager.
Along with his sales and marketing background, Taylor brings excellent communication skills and unsurpassed negotiating tactics to his new role.
Most recently with Compass and previously with Brown Harris Stevens, Taylor was among the first Representatives at TOWN’s flagship Flatiron office. Prior to making his mark in real estate, he spent 30 years in the luxury home goods market.
Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty recently named Paul Dougherty Assistant Sales Manager of its Huntington office.


A veteran of the music industry with more than 30 years of sales and marketing experience, Dougherty quickly took to online marketing for real estate, initially providing support to top producing agents who served as mentors and in time developing his own team and successful book of business, most recently at Coldwell Banker.
He is a NY State Licensed Real Estate Professional (NYSAR), a member of the National Association of REALTORS (NAR) and a certified ePRO Internet Professional.
Ellis Sotheby’s International Realty announced that Nancy Clucas has joined the firm as an associate broker.
Clucas brings over 30 years of real estate marketing and sales experience to her role. Prior to establishing her career in real estate, she worked in business and insurance.
She is a 15-year board member of Camp Venture, a not-for-profit provider of family-like care and services to children and adults with developmental disabilities.
She also is a member of the National Association of Realtors and the Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors and its multiple listing service.
Citi Habitats announced that Carli Iannotto-Reilly has been promoted to Senior Managing Director of the firm’s office at 982 Manhattan Avenue in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
She was formerly the Manager of the Williamsburg location. In her new role, Iannotto-Reilly will help both new and veteran agents alike build and grow their respective careers. In addition, Iannotto-Reilly will be responsible to recruiting experienced agents and growing the firm’s overall presence in the community.
Iannotto-Reilly has been with Citi Habitats for a decade, and started her career as an agent at their former Financial District office before moving to a management role.
Jessie Bennett has joined REAL New York as a Rental Manager, providing training, support and guidance for brokers and new sales people.
Prior to joining REAL New York, Bennet worked at Metropolitan Property Group, Triple Mint and, most recently, at Citi Habitats as both agent and manager.
Louisa Graham has also joined REAL New York as Marketing Manager.
Graham previously worked in marketing and graphic design at CPEX Real Estate and Meridian Capital Group.
Elad Group announced the promotion of Samantha Sax to Chief Marketing and Design Officer.
Since her arrival to the firm nearly five years ago, Sax has overseen all aspects of marketing, sales and interior design for numerous trophy properties within the firms’ multi-billion dollar development portfolio.


She began her career after graduating from The School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University.
Prior to joining Elad Group, she served as Senior Marketing Director of Douglas Elliman Development Marketing.
Previously, she worked as the Assistant Director of Development for two international hotel developers.

Staten Island broker John Vernazza has been named Realtor of the Year by the New York State Association of Realtors.
Vernazza became the 60th recipient of the award during the association’s Fall Business Meetings in Verona, NY.


“A leader in his real estate business, within the REALTOR® organization and throughout his community, John Vernazza is greatly deserving of this honor,” said Dawn Carpenter, 2017 president of the New York State Association of Realtors.
“His tireless efforts to promote the American Dream of homeownership and also fight against legislative issues that harm our industry are awe inspiring.”
A Realtor for 18 years, Vernazza is the broker/owner of Vernazza Real Estate in Staten Island.
He is an active member and 2009 past president of the Staten Island Board of Realtors and has served as chair of several committees, twice being named SIBOR’s Realtor Associate of the Year .
At the state level, Vernazza has served as a director since 2008 and is a past member of the NYSAR Realtors Honor Society.
Active in his community, Vernazza is the president-elect of the South Shore Rotary. In 2014, he was awarded the Paul Harris Fellow, the most prestigious award a Rotarian can receive.
