WHO’S NEWS: New vp at Walker & Dunlop; EisnerAmper names partner

Patricia Posillico has joined Sperry Van Ness / Realty Three Advisors in Holbrook, New York, as a senior investment advisor.

Posillico, of Huntington, a licensed real estate sales person with a background in mortgage banking, will provide new resources to the Sperry Van Ness / Realty Three Advisors client investment and development platform. She will specialize in investment sales and development.
Previously a mortgage originator in the New York City office of WCS Lending, a national mortgage banker, Posillico provided mortgage-financing solutions for acquisitions and refinancings to meet the client investment requirements of a variety of trusted advisors.
Posillico co-chairs the programs committee of the U.S. Green Building Council Long Island Chapter and is a board member of Long Island Geo-Thermal Energy Organization, a non-profit trade organization that promotes local job growth via environmentally friendly, ground source heat pump industry. She also is a board member and volunteer at Pal-O-Mine Equestrian, a comprehensive therapeutic equine program that incorporates horses into programs for children and adults with disabilities, the military and the economically compromised. Posillico holds Bachelors of Arts and Masters of Arts degrees in communications from the University of Hartford.

Walker & Dunlop, Inc. announced it has hired Kyle Peterson as vice president in its Multifamily Finance group. As an accomplished commercial real estate professional, Mr. Peterson, based out of Walker & Dunlop’s Chicago office, specializes in the financing of acquisitions, rehabilitations, and new construction of affordable and market rate properties. Mr. Peterson furthers Walker & Dunlop’s strategic goal of increasing its multifamily Agency originations, particularly in areas outside of the market rate product caps.
Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Peterson served as vice president at Herman & Kittle Properties.

Jay Kreisberg, a 40-year veteran of the real estate industry, has been named Director of Property Management and Administration for ABS Partners Real Estate, LLC.
Effective immediately, Kreisberg will oversee the day-to-day practices of ABS’ property management group, which operates commercial office buildings, retail spaces, and multifamily properties across New York City. Kreisberg, who has been a senior managing director at ABS Partners since 2007, will now report to President and Co-Managing Partner Gregg Schenker and Co-Managing Partner Peter Burack.
Kreisberg is an active member of REBNY and currently serves on the General Meetings Committee and on the Ethics and Professional Practices Committee. He is also an active and well-respected member of the YMWREA, where he served as treasurer in 1996 and was honored in 2007 as Senior Man of the Year.
Prior to his eight-year tenure at ABS Partners, Kreisberg served as executive vice president at Koeppel Companies until the firm sold its NYC properties. He has also worked for Colliers, Newmark & Company, and Williams Real Estate.

Two Trees Management Company announced the hiring of Brian Upbin in a new role as the firm’s head of asset management. A 15-year veteran of the investment banking industry, Mr. Upbin joins Two Trees from Barclays where he was an award-winning research analyst within its capital markets division.

As head of asset management, Upbin will assume day to day management responsibility and strategic oversight for the existing portfolio of real estate assets owned and managed by Two Trees in Brooklyn and Manhattan. These properties include Mercedes House in Manhattan; DUMBO properties including 60, 66, and 85 Water Street, 25, 30, 65, and 81 Washington Street; and Brooklyn Heights/Downtown Brooklyn properties at 125 and 138 Court Street, 164 and 194 Atlantic Avenue and 110 Livingston Street. Properties under construction include BAM South in Fort Greene and the Domino Sugar Factory site on the Williamsburg waterfront.
A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Yale University, Mr. Upbin comes to Two Trees after 15 years in senior roles within the capital markets divisions of Barclays and previously Lehman Brothers. With a strong background in investment and risk management and product strategy across a number of asset classes, Mr. Upbin has been recognized by Institutional Investor Magazine in both the US and Europe for his expertise and thought leadership and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), and Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designations.

Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP  announced that Brian Kniesly has joined the firm as a partner in the Tax Practice Group. He was previously a partner with Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson.
Kniesly focuses his tax practice in the areas of real estate, real estate investment funds, investment trusts, and mergers and acquisitions. He has extensive experience advising on New York state and local taxes, including transfer taxes, commercial rent and occupancy taxes and others. His investment fund experience is focused on fund formations, including fund structuring for hedge funds, real estate funds, private equity debt funds and investor negotiations.
Prior to joining the firm, Kniesly practiced with Fried Frank in New York since 2001. He is a 1998 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he received the Bernard A. Chertcoff Prize for the highest grade in taxation.

First Nationwide Title Agency announced that two of its professionals have been selected by the American Land Title Association (ALTA) to serve on committees for the 2015-2016 calendar year.
Vincent G. Danzi, Esq., senior vice president and senior counsel, has been appointed to the Government Affairs and State Legislative Regulatory committees; and Bernadette Cuevas,managing director, operations and finance, will serve on ALTA’s Public Relations committee.
In his role at FNTA, Mr. Danzi manages compliance and corporate matters for the company. A frequent speaker and contributor to various legal and title related organizations and periodicals, Mr. Danzi is an Officer of the Suffolk County Bar Association’s Academy of Law, a member of the editorial advisory board for the Legal Description and produces continuing legal education materials for local bar associations.
Bernadette Cuevas oversees all of FNTA’s operations and systems including personnel, human resources, licensing, new business development, facilities management and training programs. She is on the Advisory Board of Make-a-Wish Foundation, is a wish granting volunteer and will co-Chair MAW’s 3rd Annual Walk for Wishes in Nassau County next September. She is a member of NYSTLA and serves as an HSA Board member for her children’s school.

Global Net Lease, Inc. announced that its board of directors had appointed Timothy Salvemini to serve as chief financial officer, treasurer and secretary, effective as of Dec. 1.
From 2014 to 2015, Mr. Salvemini served as chief administrative officer of Rouse Properties, Inc., a publicly-traded real estate investment trust (“REIT”), and as chief accounting officer from 2012 to 2014. From 2010 to 2012, Mr. Salvemini was Vice President – Finance and Accounting of Brookfield Asset Management, Inc., an asset manager with over $175 billion of assets under management. From 2006 to 2010, Mr. Salvemini served in various roles at Crystal River Capital Inc., a publicly-traded mortgage REIT managed by Brookfield Asset Management.

He has more than 15 years of experience in both the tax accounting and tax legal side of the profession. His focus is on financial services and investment management, and he frequently advises on all aspects of tax planning and compliance for financial services firms and their related entities.

In addition to his CPA certification, Mr. David holds a J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law where he graduated cum laude; he was an associate editor of the Hofstra Law Review Journal. He is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) and the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA).

Holliday Fenoglio Fowler, L.P. (HFF) announced that Peter Rotchford has joined the firm as a director in its New York office. Mr. Rotchford will focus on fixed and floating-rate debt and equity placement transactions in the greater New York City area with a particular focus on multi-housing, office, hospitality and healthcare/seniors housing transactions.
Rotchford joins HFF from Avison Young where he was a director in charge of sourcing and placing debt and equity opportunities for the firm nationwide. Prior to Avison Young, he worked as a financial analyst in Colliers International’s Healthcare Group and before that for Gale International in Shanghai, China. Mr. Rotchford is a licensed real estate salesperson in New York and has a bachelor’s degree from Saint Michael’s College in Colchester, Vermont.

CBRE Group’s Westchester/Fairfield County office announced that Louis Zuckerman has joined its Capital Markets Investment Properties team as a Vice President. In this capacity he will specialize in office, retail, multifamily and industrial investment properties throughout the New York tri-state region.
Mr. Zuckerman, an industry veteran, was most recently with Colliers International and will join the already established team of Patrick Colwell and Devon Warren at CBRE. The announcement of his appointment was made by Robert Caruso, Senior Managing Director of CBRE’s Westchester/Fairfield County operations.
Before joining Colliers International, whose Stamford, CT office he left as senior managing director of investment sales, Mr. Zuckerman was director of acquisitions and development at The Kimball Development Group. Prior to this, Mr. Zuckerman was vice president of business development for GE Capital’s mergers and acquisitions.

Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C., announced the addition of Jerry Siegelman and Anthony Baronci, two senior attorneys, to its Real Estate Department.
Jerry Siegelman, who is joining RMF as a Partner, received his Juris Doctor degree from Boston University School of Law, and also holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Baruch College.
The Great Neck resident joins RMF from Ackerman, Levine, Cullen, Brickman and Limmer of Great Neck, where he supervised the firm’s real estate practice, including commercial and residential acquisitions, dispositions, financing and leasing. For over 25 years he has represented Prestige Properties and Development Co., Inc., of New York, owner and developer of commercial real estate including the 1.3 million sq.-ft. Bay Plaza Shopping Center and the 780,000 sq.-ft. Mall at Bay Plaza.
Anthony Baronci, of Great Neck, joins Ruskin Moscou Faltischek as Counsel, with nearly 25 years’ experience as a real estate and legislative attorney, including the last three years as Counsel at Ackerman, Levine, Cullen, Brickman and Limmer, and 14 years at Wertheimer Fredman, LLC. He handles all types of real estate transactions including enclosed mall and strip center development, commercial leasing, and anchor store and “big box” leasing.
Baronci holds a Juris Doctor degree from St. John’s University School of Law, as well as a Bachelors in Finance from Fordham University.
