Canadian firm Lemay acquires design company Andres Escobar & Associates

Canadian architectural firm, Lemay, announced the acquisition of interior design company Andres Escobar & Associates.

The transaction will further its interior design capability while serving as a platform for the firm’s expansion in the New York market, where Andres Escobar & Associates has a strong presence and history.

“Today’s announcement marks once again our desire to better serve the growing needs of our clients and to expand our business opportunities in new markets,” said Louis T. Lemay, president and excellence facilitator at Lemay.

“We are thrilled to welcome Andres and his exceptional team to our group.”

Added Escboar, “This is a very exciting development for our business. Our existing clients will immediately benefit from Lemay’s integrated approach, expanded services, broad expertise and creativity in multiple areas. Lemay is one of Canada’s leading integrated design firms. Among its most recent projects are the Mount Stephen Hotel in Montreal, and Footbridge Candiac, among the Top 10 Best Bridges in the World in 2015 according to the Domus Magazine

Andres Escobar & Associates was founded in 1989, quickly becoming one of Montreal’s most renowned design firms. Its projects span across the world, but the company first entered the New York City market in 2001 in Brooklyn, where the firm ingeniously converted the Gretsch Guitar Factory into condominiums.
