Silverstein Properties announced that 1177 Avenue of the Americas is 93 percent leased.
Since partnering with JLL in 2012, and completing a comprehensive redesign of the lobby and building entrance, the company has leased 217,000 s/f of space in the one million square foot building.
Major leases include the Practising Law Institute, the Weather Channel, Regus, Seer Capital Management and Gates Capital.
These leases were brokered by Roger A. Silverstein, executive vice president and Joe Artusa, senior vice president, with Silverstein Properties, together with Paul N. Glickman, Frank Doyle, vice chairmen; and Cynthia Wasserberger, managing director, Randy Abend, senior vice president and Ben Bass, associate with JLL’s New York office. “We are thrilled to be over 93 percent leased with a great roster of top companies at 1177,” said Roger Silverstein. “1177 is a great building in a fantastic midtown location and we look forward to fully leasing the property by the end of the year.”
Located in heart of Midtown, 1177 Avenue of the Americas is a Class A office building with approximately 70,000 s/f of office space available for lease. The floors offer potential tenants sweeping views, efficient floor plates and high ceilings.
“The superior infrastructure, location and design of this building have positioned it as a leading choice for tenants seeking prime space in Midtown,” said Glickman. “The leasing momentum and the quality of tenants in the building are a testament to the strength of ownership, their hands-on approach to leasing and their commitment to reinvesting in the building.”
The building’s 45 foot lobby and exterior arcade were redesigned in 2012 by Moed de Armas & Shannon.
