The Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) and Fifth Gen Media, publisher of Connected Real Estate Magazine, will host a joint, two-day, virtual real estate technology event: REBNY’s PropTech Challenge and Showcase and The Connected Virtual Tech Event, which will be held Monday, November 16 and Tuesday, November 17.
REBNY kicked off its 4th Annual PropTech Challenge by calling on proptech vendors and other technology leaders to review this year’s problem sets at PropTechChallenge.com and submit their proposed solutions by October 23 at 5 p.m.
This year’s PropTech Challenge will feature panels, demos, exhibitor booths, roundtable discussions and networking opportunities – highlighting leading technology solutions that address challenges across four market sectors within the real estate industry:
- Building Operations and Wellness
- Design, Construction and Development
- Commercial Leasing and Brokerage
- Residential Leasing and Brokerage
Tech vendors can apply to showcase their technology products at REBNY’s PropTech Challenge by completing the PropTech Submission Form.
“We are very excited about our 4th annual PropTech Challenge, adding Showcase and Round Table elements to our expanded event with Connected Real Estate Magazine. This year’s PropTech Challenge focuses on helping owners and managers get tenants back into our buildings safely and securely. We’ll be raising awareness to some exciting PropTech uncovered by the REBNY Technology Committee as we reimagine operations, leasing, and development in an ever-changing world,” said Sandy Jacolow PropTech Challenge Co-Founder and Chief Information Officer at Meridian Capital.
“As a group, property owners are constantly looking for new and better ways to make our buildings healthier and more efficient. The REBNY PropTech Challenge & Showcase is a great opportunity for our industry to innovate and collaborate,” said John Gilbert, COO at Rudin Management Company and Chairman of the REBNY Technology Committee. “This initiative will produce valuable assets the real estate community can share so we encourage all PropTech vendors and other technology firms to review the problem sets in each category and submit your solution today.”
The PropTech Challenge and the Connected Virtual Tech Event will address both how real estate technology will impact the way buildings are designed, built, transacted, operated and managed, and how technology infrastructure will make new innovations possible. The event will use a new platform to connect attendees virtually to make the show as close to a live event as possible. The platform will add a video game-like experience to the event and is expected to bring some excitement to attendees who may be dealing with virtual conference fatigue.
“Providing our members with opportunities to advance their own businesses and modernize the industry is part of REBNY’s core mission. We’re excited to continue REBNY’s annual PropTech Challenge – adapting and evolving it to provide the greatest value possible to our members as the PropTech ecosystem matures,” said REBNY Chief Technology Officer Christopher Beach.
REBNY’s PropTech Challenge and Showcase will be live on November 16 and 17 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., with an hour break, then resumes live from 2-4 p.m. To review the complete agenda visit www.proptechchallenge.com/agenda.
