Global management-consulting giant McKinsey & Co. is moving its Manhattan headquarters from 55 East 52d Street to Three World Trade Center, according to the New York Post.
Silverstein Properties said it was unable to comment on the report, which noted McKinsey would take 200,000 s/f on floors 60 to 64 of the 80-story skyscraper, including a 5,000 s/f, south-facing outdoor terrace on the 60th floor.
The Post said the deal will bring occupancy at Three World Trade Center to 900,000 s/f when it opens in May, 2018.
Designed architect Richard Rogers and his firm Rogers Stirk Harbor + Partners, 3 World Trade Center will by anchored by GroupM media investment company, which signed a 20-year lease for around 700,000 s/f on nine floors at the base of the 80-story tower.
Among the subsidiaries that will operate from the tower are digital media platform Xaxis, and cable provider MediaCom.
