Neiman Marcus Group announced Janson Goldstein LLP as the design firm for its 215,000 s/f, multi-level store at Hudson Yards scheduled to open in Fall 2018.
“We are very excited about working with the acclaimed firm Janson Goldstein on our first Neiman Marcus in Manhattan”, said Karen Katz, president and chief executive officer of Neiman Marcus Group. “We look forward to serving New Yorkers and visitors alike with legendary Neiman Marcus style.”
The three-level Neiman Marcus will anchor the one million square foot Shops and Restaurants at Hudson Yards.
The store will offer customers Neiman Marcus’ mix of luxury and fashion brands, with views over the vast public plaza and meeting place being designed by Thomas Heatherwick and Thomas Woltz, the Culture Shed, the planned home of New York Fashion Week.
“Janson Goldstein is thrilled to have been selected for this remarkable project. We are looking forward to working with Neiman Marcus to create a new home for them at Hudson Yards that will be a vital and exciting retail, fashion and cultural landmark,” said Mark Janson, co-founder of Janson Goldstein.
Janson Goldstein’s practice ranges from artisan-crafted custom furnishings, to personalized homes and apartments, large-scale urban retail, hospitality and condominium projects.
The firm has completed commercial projects for some of the leading brands in fashion, hospitality and business, including Holt Renfrew, Saks Fifth Avenue, Calvin Klein, Hyatt, LVMH, Fisher Brothers, Daniel Boulud, Intermix and Salvatore Ferragamo, among others. The firm’s retail and hospitality work can be found throughout North America, Europe and Asia.
The 28-acre Hudson Yards, developed by Related Companies and Oxford Properties Group, will include 17 million square feet of commercial and residential space, approximately 5,000 apartments, 14-acres of public open space, a new 750-seat public school and a 200-room Equinox branded luxury hotel.
