Hudson Yards will bolster its food and beverage options, adding several new cafes, restaurants, and bakeries to its growing list of retail concepts.
Among the newly announced businesses are Bluestone Lane, a café and catering service, which will open a dine-in and pre-order lunch spot/coffee bar; Fuku, a fried-chicken centric fast-casual restaurant helmed by chef and restaurateur, David Chang, and ice cream purveyor Van Leeuwen, which will serve up vegan and regular ice cream in addition to an exclusive flavor only available at Hudson Yards.
Other announced food and beverage additions include Jack’s Stir Brew, Blue Bottle Coffee and Maison Kayser. Salad-chain Sweetgreen opened at 10 Hudson Yards in August this year.
“We are excited to unveil these latest additions to the dining collection which will further enhance the 24-hour culinary experience at Hudson Yards,” said Kenneth A. Himmel, restaurateur and president and CEO of Related Urban, the mixed-use division of Related Companies. “From a strong cup of coffee in the morning, to a quick treat in the afternoon, to a celebratory meal at night, our diverse range of culinary offerings will provide a comprehensive and complementary dining experience for residents, employees, locals and visitors alike.”
In addition to the new dining and beverage options, Citarella Gourmet Markets, will also open its eighth location in Hudson Yards – a 10,500 s/f market that will sell seafood, meat, pastries, and also include a section to buy wine and spirits.
According to a statement by Related Companies who is developing Hudson Yards jointly with Oxford Properties, many of the new dining selections will be housed in the in a 1 million s/f shops and restaurants section anchored by Neiman Marcus at 31st Street and 10th Avenue while others will be spread across 30 Hudson Yards and 50 Hudson Yards.
Hudson Yards plans to open all dining and retail locations, along with its public park, in March 2019.
