Furniture firm takes 22K s/f in NJ

NAI James E. Hanson, a leading New Jersey-based full-service commercial real estate firm, brokered the lease of a 22,800-square-foot industrial property located at 560 Jefferson Avenue in Secaucus, N.J.
NAI Hanson’s Andrew Kirshenbaum, the lead broker on the assignment and Arthur Hixson, and Barry Mayer represented the lessee, Designer 8, Inc., in the transaction.

“Designer 8, Inc. was looking for a space to grow its operations on the east coast with accessibility to New York in order to take advantage of the active marketplace and demand for their services,” said Kirshenbaum. “560 Jefferson Avenue provided a unique solution to their needs in that it met their current space requirements but also provides the opportunity to expand within the same building to accommodate future growth.

Founded in 2006, Designer 8, Inc. provides a wide variety of event rental furniture and custom scenic props to the event world in a number of major markets throughout the country. Headquartered in Culver City, CA, the company has locations in both Northern and Southern California and is expanding to the east coast.

The company will use the new location to house high end and trendsetting furniture and grow its business.
