Durst inks 22,000 s/f deal with data center biz at 1133 6th Avenue

The Durst Organization announced that Equinix, Inc., the global interconnection and data center provider, has signed a 10-year lease for 22,111 s/f on the entire 16th floor of 1133 Avenue of the Americas.

Equinix will be relocating to their new Bryant Park offices from their current New York headquarters in Times Square.

“Equinix will be a fantastic addition to 1133,” said Jonathan (Jody) Durst, president of The Durst Organization.  “We have upgraded a Mid-Century Modern Classic with the technology and amenities that twenty-first century tenants demand. 1133 now provides the best of both worlds; a timeless design and state-of-art operations.  We look forward to our partnership with Equinix.”

Equinix was represented by Executive Director Jeffrey Heller and Director Gregory Skaler of Cushman & Wakefield.  The Durst Organization was represented in-house by Senior Vice President of Leasing Tom Bow and Vice President of Leasing Rocco Romeo.
