Doggie daycare continues to expand

A full-service dog care center is coming to the Upper East Side.

D is for Doggy, which offers daycare, boarding, grooming, training and walking services, has signed a 12-year lease at 1615 Second Avenue. It will be the company’s fifth location in New York. Richard Kave, executive managing director of Lee & Associates NYC, represented both the tenant and the landlord, 84th & 2nd Avenue LLC, in the 1,943s/f ground-floor lease. The space is located between 83rd and 84th Streets.

“One doesn’t have to walk around New York City for long to realize there are dogs everywhere,” Kave said. “New Yorkers want only the best for their pets, making doggie daycare a thriving business concept here. This new location of D is for Doggy will serve Yorkville residents, and their dogs, quite well.”

D is for Doggy is expected to open early next year.
