The Yard, a luxury, collaborative space to grow your business, continues its expansion into dynamic neighborhoods with new locations in Gowanus, Brooklyn and Midtown Village, Philadelphia. Designed to inspire creativity and collaboration, The Yard is meeting the increasing demands for high-end, month-to-month office spaces that empower entrepreneurs to grow their ideas.
The new Gowanus location expands The Yard’s community in Brooklyn which already includes a thriving space in Williamsburg established in 2011. Members will enter the 24,800 square foot space in Gowanus at 157 13th Street through a converted loading dock complete with a cafe and enjoy additional outdoor space from the stunning, roof-top deck. The former factory building will echo the quintessential raw aesthetic of The Yard spaces with exposed brick walls and wood joist barrel ceilings. Both the landlord, 304 LLC, and The Yard were represented by Bob Klien of Kalmon Dolgin Affiliates. The Gowanus location will open in November of this year.
Earlier this month, The Yard also secured a Philadelphia location at the Steele Building, located at 15 South 11th Street, in the Midtown Village area of Center City Philadelphia. As the first location in Philadelphia, the Midtown Village location will feature 24,000 square feet of collaborative workspace on the second through fifth floors as well as a spacious 1,650 square foot roof deck overlooking the city. The new location will incorporate the Steele Building’s unique architecture from the transitional period between Neoclassical and Art Deco with The Yard’s signature contemporary designs. The Philadelphia location is expected to open in November of this year and accepting membership inquiries starting today.
“We’re seeing constant needs for authentic, beautiful and community-driven work spaces in growing neighborhoods nationwide,” says The Yard Co-Founder Richard Beyda. “Members tell us that they choose The Yard for its sophisticated business space, elegant environment and amenities, and we want to be able to offer these options to thriving communities outside of the Manhattan epicenter.”
Since The Yard’s launch in 2011, the company’s locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn have helped thousands of entrepreneurs to cultivate their ideas. Offering wider access to The Yard’s marriage of form and function in collaborative spaces, real estate negotiations are underway for additional locations slated to open by the end of 2018 in New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Washington D.C., San Francisco, Los Angeles and Toronto.
