Cushman & Wakefield announced today (Wednesday) that The Yard, a co-working space provider in Manhattan and Brooklyn, has signed a
long-term lease at 157 Columbus Ave, located on the northeast corner of 67th Street.
The building, owned by The Brodsky Organization, recently completed a major capital improvement and renovation program, featuring a new lobby, elevator cabs, bathrooms, and upgraded building infrastructure,
The Yard will occupy 28,638 s/f on the entire 4th and 5th floors, bringing the building to full occupancy. The Yard follows four tenants that recently completed transactions in the building – Fusion Learning Inc. leased 14,319 s/f, CrossFit leased 11,116 s/ft, Citi Habitats leased 8,335 s/f and Quinlan Development leased 5,984 s/f.
Previously net-leased by the Walt Disney Co. Inc, 157 Columbus Avenue was repositioned in October and offered to the market for the first time since it was built in 1983.
“We’ve received an overwhelmingly positive response following the modernization of this property, which offers tenants sizeable open floor plates in a sought-after location,” said Alexander Brodsky a principal of The Brodsky Organization. “The successful positioning by Cushman & Wakefield has helped establish a diverse tenant roster that expands the live/work environment in this neighborhood and presents the community with convenient services.”
A Cushman & Wakefield team, led by Josh Kuriloff, Jodi Roberts and Drew Braver represented The Brodsky Organization as exclusive leasing agent.
“We completed the renovation and repositioning in the fall and in a matter of nearly five months, we worked with a great ownership team to bring the building to full occupancy,” said Kuriloff, a Cushman & Wakefield Executive Vice Chairman. “The building boasts a fantastic tenant roster, which were all attracted by the high-quality space offered in this great Upper West Side neighborhood.”
157 Columbus Ave. is located within close proximity to the Time Warner Center, great hotels and restaurants.
