Berkshire Hathaway scoops up seven new hires

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New York Properties is welcoming seven new agents to its residential and commercial rosters.

The new hires to the New York division include: Khine Tun, Stanislav Sokolov, Michael Decker, Mary Anne Dinan, Colin O’Leary, Kaylin Whittingham and Yvette Westervelt.

“We are thrilled to welcome these talented agents to our team, as we continue to strategically grow our New York presence. I am confident they will bring professionalism, respect and enthusiasm to our team,” said Ellie Johnson, President of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New York Properties. “It is an incredible privilege to bring in real estate professionals who so clearly embody our core values, and further cement our presence as leaders in the New York market.”

The diverse cast of the new hires adds to the company’s push into New York City. Several of the hires came from TOWN residential, which laid off 400 agents and consolidated its offices in April.

Tun made the jump to real estate after 15 years of success in the corporate world and Wall Street. Sokolov has studied international business in Russia and New York, giving him a expanded worldview to better serve buyers. Decker’s previous careers of executive chef, construction superintendent and instrument maker has allowed him to hone the ability to identify quality craftsmanship. Dinan boasts 18 years in the real estate industry and has worked with high-end properties in San Diego and Manhattan.

The New York native O’Leary began his real estate career in 2012 after serving a five-year tour with the United States Air Force. Equipped with a law degree, Whittingham adds another layer to her 20 years of client-service. Westervelt has worked in various fields of real estate and offers her clients a one-stop shop for all their needs.
