March 14-17, 2017: Global strategist Parag Khanna, an international relations expert and author, will keynote the 28th edition of the “world’s property market” to be held in Cannes, France. The event gathers players from all sectors of the international property industry for four days of networking, learning and transaction. Fordham RE Institute

BuildingsNY Show

March 21-22:  Gerald Howard, CEO of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), will be the keynote speaker at 8:45 a.m. kicking off the BuildingsNY Show at the Javits Center.  His keynote will focus on President Trump’s evolving housing policy. ULI-NJ Panel

March 23: Cushman & Wakefield’s  Senior Director Brian Whitmer, chair of the Urban Land Institute’s (ULI) Northern New Jersey District, will introduce a moderated panel discussion during ULI’s program entitled, “The Newark Downtown Renaissance: Hahne & Company Redevelopment A Catalyst for Community Growth.” The event, open to members and non-members of ULI, will take place from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at the Hahne & Company building, 609 Broad Street in Newark. March 29: The Stacom Family Speaker Series of Integrated Real Estate at will host a multi-generational panel event with parent-child panelists  Robert and Ryan Alexander, Robert and Alex Lapidus, Mitti and Remy Liebersohn, Jonathan and Marc Mechanic, Darcy Stacom and Amber Kraus, and Norman and David Sturner.    “Commercial Real Estate: The Rise of a New Generation” takes place at 180 Maiden Lane in Lower Manhattan.  The evening opens with a cocktail reception and networking between 5:30 pm and 6:00 pm. Realty Foundation Cocktail Party

April 27, 2017: The Realty Foundation of New York (RFNY) announced that Paul J. Massey Jr., who earlier this year launched his campaign to run as a Republican for Mayor of New York City, will be the guest of honor at the organization’s annual cocktail party. Beginning at 5:30 pm, the event will be held in the historic Rainbow Room on the 65th floor of Rockefeller Center.  H. ULI Meeting

May 2-4: New Drivers for Real Estate Financing, Design and Development is the focus of Urban Land Institute’s 2017 Spring Meeting Washington State Convention Center. John Schoettler, director of Global Real Estate, at Amazon, who will discuss what drove the company’s decision to create a 10-million-square-foot urban campus in Seattle. Ann Klee, of General Electric, will be discussing GE’s move from Fairfield, Connecticut to downtown Boston.
