Who’s News: Residential appointments and promotions

Compass announced that Eytan Seidman will join its leadership team as Head of Product.

With 15 years of experience building technology products, Seidman will lead the development of Compass’ next generation of tools that integrate client, market and listings intelligence.

A career technologist, Seidman previously sold the company he co-founded, Oyster.com, to TripAdvisor, after growing the site from launch to over 1,000,000 visitors per month.

He subsequently spent four years in a Vice President and General Manager role at TripAdvisor where we oversaw a 50-person cross-functional team that included engineering, product management, design and operational staff.

Prior to that, Seidman was a Principal Program Manager Lead at Microsoft, where he built Microsoft’s first-ever customer relationship management (CRM) product and served as product manager for their search engine, Bing.

At Microsoft, he built a team of 40 program managers and co-ordinated a virtual team of 60 developers, testers, program managers and support staff.

Seidman graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with dual degrees in Computer Science and History.

Sean Miller, a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson who was previously associated with Home Smart Cross Island in Rosedale, Bronx.

Elaine Burke, an Associate Broker who previously worked for Real Living Innovations in Wantagh and Merrick

Barry Calvagna, a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson who was previously associated with Exit Realty Achieve in Smithtown

Ajit Shah, a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson who was previously associated with First Flag Realty in Jericho

Jennifer Mohan, a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson previously associated with Optimum Homes in Ozone Park.

Crystal Jones, a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson previously associated with Besmatch Real Estate in the Bronx.

Kerri Blank has joined the East Hampton office of Douglas Elliman.

Blank has been a licensed associate broker for the past 15 years. Her prior career as a successful attorney has helped her to hone her skills as an expert negotiator and deal maker. She is also a certified home stager and offers her clients complimentary home staging.

Kerri received a BA in Art History from Syracuse University and a law degree from New England Law. Prior to entering real estate, she practiced law at a large New York City law firm, and then her own law office.
