WHO’S NEWS: Latest appointments & promotions

JRT Realty Group has hired three industry professionals as part of the company’s ongoing expansion.


Christie Bennett has been appointed as Managing Director, National Accounts.
Bennett brings more than 10 years of senior industry experience, including most recently with CBRE, and prior to that, Cushman & Wakefield and Newmark.
Throughout her career she has been responsible for the acquisition, disposition and restructuring of real estate assets and leases for more than 10 million square feet of properties.

Heather Sloan has been named Managing Director, Brokerage. Bringing two decades experience in both tenant representation and landlord assignments, and a client base that includes major corporate and financial services institutions, Sloan’s record of success includes more than five million square feet of completed assignments worth over $600 million.
Prior to joining JRT, she spent 20 years in the New York City offices of Cushman & Wakefield, where she concentrated on tenant advisory work throughout the U.S.

Kelly Moriwaki is taking on the role of Marketing Director tasked with spearheading the development and implementation of all creative marketing collateral for the firm’s business development and social media efforts, as well as its national client account management activities.
Moriwaki previously served as a marketing manager with CBRE. Her real estate career began at Cushman & Wakefield, where she was a senior marketing designer within the firm’s retail leasing division.

Christy Reuter has joined Blank Rome’s New York office as partner in the firm’s global Real Estate group.
Reuter is a leading attorney in the hospitality sector, drawing on more than 25 years of experience representing clients.
She was previously a partner at Meister Seelig & Fein, where she chaired the Hotel & Hospitality group and was a member of the Corporate and Real Estate groups. Prior to that role, she founded Reuter Law PLLC and spent seven years as general counsel at Cipriani, a world-renowned global hospitality company.
At Blank Rome, Reuter will focus her real estate practice on domestic and global hospitality transactions, notably representing hospitality companies seeking to expand within the United States and in countries around the world.
Christy earned her J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law and her B.A. from State University of New York at Albany.

RIPCO Real Estate has welcomed Stephen R. Preuss, the highest producing investment sales broker in Queens, as Vice Chairman, Investment Sales.
With the addition of Preuss, RIPCO has secured a long-term lease in Kew Gardens, Queens, which will be the headquarters for Preuss and the team he plans to build.
RIPCO will also add retail leasing professionals to the new office to foster growth in the two million person plus Queens trade area.
With nearly two decades of experience and numerous accolades and recognitions throughout his career, Preuss began his real estate career with Massey Knakal before joining Cushman & Wakefield afetr it acquired Massey Knakal.
He has produced over $5 billon of investment and commercial real estate transactions while consistently performing over 500 property valuations per year.
Preuss has sold in excess of 500 properties and has carried the largest market share in Queens for the last several years.
He studied finance at Florida Atlantic University.

RIPCO Real Estate (RIPCO) announced the hire of Anthony (Tony) Pavli who will serve as the firm’s Managing Partner in Florida.
Pavli, who has nearly two decades of retail real estate leasing experience having worked with SITE Centers (previously DDR Corp), will be focusing on growing RIPCO’s brand, business and teams throughout the state.
Pavli’s appointment comes on the heels of the firm’s recent hires of Kris Kral in Tampa and Andie Blade in Miami.
Pavli will continue to build out offices across Florida as he brings in new and experienced brokers.

RFR has appointed Jay Dunn as Head of Equity Capital Markets. Reporting to co-founders Aby Rosen and Michael Fuchs, the newly created position solidifies the firm’s commitment to expanding its relationships with both institutional and family office investors.
Dunn will oversee equity capital raising, joint ventures and strategic partnerships for the firm’s commercial, residential, hotel, and retail properties located in select domestic markets as major European cities.
Over his career, Dunn has completed $45 billion in transactions. Previously, he was Managing Director and Head of Capital Markets for Alliance Partners HP. Before that, he held roles within real estate private equity, investment banking and capital markets at Morgan Stanley, Gleacher & Company, and Jones Lang LaSalle.

JLL announced Chris Maciejczak is joining the firm’s Life Sciences Project & Development Services group as a Managing Director.
He will be responsible for leading a team that provides construction project management services and life sciences industry consulting.
Maciejczak previously served as the senior director of life sciences project management for the Northeast division of CBRE.
He brings over 15 years of experience leading operations and facilities in several rapid growth, regional life sciences companies, including Foundation Medicine, Intellia Therepeutics and Zalicus Incorporated.
He completed several continuing education and certificate programs from Northeastern University and holds various accreditations and professional affiliations.

Pembrook Capital Management announced Nigel Henry has joined the firm as an Analyst.
henry joins Pembrook after three years as a Financial Data Analyst with Parkchester Preservation Management in the Bronx where he managed capital projects and conducted asset management reviews on budget performance, vacancy projection, risk exposure, insurance liability and other market comparisons. Prior to that, he held a similar role with Tenant-U Services.
Henry holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from University of Delaware.

Greystone announced that Brett Gaffan has joined as a Senior Managing Director in the firm’s CMBS lending group, based in New York.
Gaffan will focus on CMBS loan production and report to Rob Russell.
With over 20 years of CMBS sector experience, Gaffan joins Greystone from Societe Generale, where he served as a Director responsible for CMBS, mezzanine, and floating-rate balance sheet CRE loans.
Prior to that, he held various CMBS loan origination roles at Barclays, CIBC, and Morgan Stanley.

Lendlease announced the appointment of Rob Ledder to the role of Operations Director, Life Science, for its Americas Region.
Ledder will be based out of Lendlease’s Princeton, NJ, office and will report directly to Mike Fratianni, Managing Director, Construction.
With nearly three decades of construction experience at Lendlease alone, Ledder is a highly respected and instrumental leader.
Ledder holds a Bachelor’s Degree, Civil Engineering, and M.B.A. from Lehigh University.

Atlas Evaluation & Inspection Services (AEIS) announced Terence Hampton, EIT, has been hired as a Project Manager.
Hampton is a civil engineer with over 25 years of experience in construction.
A longtime consultant to Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, he has worked on projects including Port Authority Trans Hudson (PATH), Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s Newark Terminal A Redevelopment, Goethals Bridge Replacement, as well as Metropolitan Transit Authority’s 86th Street Subway Station, among other important infrastructure projects.
Previously, Hampton worked as an inspector at civil engineering and environmental firms.
He earned his BS in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ.

Hoffmann Architects announced that Chris Clements AIA has earned a promotion to Senior Staff Architect.
He joined the firm in 2015 as Project Representative and earned promotions to Senior Project Representative, Project Coordinator, and most recently to Staff Architect.
With a primary focus on historic preservation, his experience includes investigation and assessment, design development, on-site project representation, and drawing
preparation for various projects.
Some of Clements’ notable contributions include contract administration for restoration of the U.S. Capitol Dome, building envelope inspections and facade repairs for the
Smithsonian Institution, roof surveys for Washington Union Station, and exterior rehabilitation for Lehigh University.
Clements graduated from The Catholic University of America with a Master of Architecture degree. He earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the College of William & Mary, where he also studied fine arts.

Seyfarth announced the arrival of partners Michael Fein and Jeffrey Lampiasi to its Real Estate department in New York.
Also joining the firm in New York are Real Estate attorneys Karen Levine (counsel) and Daniel Kessler (associate). All four lawyers join Seyfarth from Watson Farley & Williams.
Michael Fein served as the head of Watson Farley & Williams’s Real Estate group in New York and has handled billions of dollars in real estate transactions involving a broad range of CRE sectors.
He earned his J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and received a B.S.B.A. from Boston University.
Jeffrey Lampiasi represents developers, hotel operators, investors, financial institutions, and many other business sectors in the acquisition, sale, leasing, development, design, construction, and financing of US properties. He also regularly negotiates complex joint venture agreements.
Lampiasi received a J.D. from New York University School of Law and earned his B.A. from Wesleyan University.
Karen Levine was the leader of Watson Farley & Williams’s New York Leasing practice and advises tenants and landlords in industrial, office, and retail leasing transactions.
Levine received her J.D. and B.A. from Pace University.
Daniel Kessler represents institutional investors, developers, condominium and cooperative boards, management companies, and hospitality businesses.
He received his J.D. from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center and earned a B.A. from City University of New York – Queens College.
The Real Estate group is the latest addition to Seyfarth’s growing New York office. Earlier this year, the office welcomed cybersecurity partner Paul Ferrillo and international litigator Talat Ansari.

CenterSquare Investment Management announced the hiring of Deborah Considine as a Director in the firm’s Capital Markets group.
She will lead business development and fundraising efforts for CenterSquare’s public and private real estate investment strategies across the Western United States as well as other global regions.
An industry veteran, she brings with her more than two decades of institutional relationships and real asset product experience.
Considine most recently served as a Managing Director for Nuveen Institutional Advisory Services where she was responsible for the US west region distribution of private real estate and real assets investment products to large market institutional investors across all segments.
Before that, she held leadership, relationship management and business development positions at TIAA Global Asset Management and UBS Realty Investors.
CoOnsidine holds a Master of Science (MS) in Real Estate Development from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in the History of Art from Yale University.

The Berman Group announced that Karyn Houde has joined its team as Managing Director, Boston.
With a background spanning 15 years in the commercial real estate sector, Houde serves as the lead for Berman’s newly expanded Boston team and will serve clients including the Corenet New England Chapter.
Houde joins the firm following recent roles with Simon Property Group and Westfield Property Group (URW) where she led both business-to-business and business-to-consumer marketing
She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Ithaca College and has received certifications in Resilient Leadership from Babson College and Digital Marketing Strategy from Cornell University.
The Berman Group has also added Ashlee O’Connor, Account Executive to The Berman Group’s Boston-based team.
She most recently served as the Community Liaison Event Coordinator at EDENS.
