WHO’S NEWS: Gunderson goes to Elliman

Douglas Elliman has welcomed Hamptons power agent Martha Gundersen.
The veteran associate broker has been providing expertise to buyers and sellers in the Hamptons for more than a decade and has earned sales totaling well over $1 billion. She brings her team — including Dylan Huddleston and Rafal Trawicki — with her to Elliman’s Bridgehampton office.
An Amagansett resident with a background in art and landscape design, she is very active in the community and supports numerous charities, including the World Wildlife Fund, The American Cancer Society, Women for Women International and Plan International.
“We are excited to welcome Martha Gundersen to the Douglas Elliman family. Her abundance of talent, experience, second-to-none work ethic and knowledge is the exact definition of a world-class broker,” said Todd Bourgard, senior executive manager of sales for the Hamptons.

Real estate professionals Clara Roman and Paul Guerra have joined the New Rochelle office of Houlihan Lawrence while Antoinette Iemma has joined the firm’s Pelham office.
Clara Roman, who has six years of experience in residential real estate sales, was previously with Keller Williams. She established her real estate career in the late 1990s as a real estate investor in Texas, California and Florida, has more than 25 years of strategic planning and negotiating experience. A resident of Rye, Roman volunteers her time with various non-profit organizations including the Eastchester Senior Nutrition Program, delivering meals to homebound seniors.
Paul Guerra, who has been in the real estate field for 11 years, previously worked for Keller Williams. A graduate of Berkeley Business School in White Plains, Guerra also works as general manager of a small motorsport Ecommerce company where he helped achieve sales over $15 million. He is a Yonkers resident.
Antoinette Iemma, who has been in the real estate business for 21 years, is a top-producing broker who was previously with Stiefvater Real Estate in Pelham. Prior to her career in real estate, she was a design director at Phillips Van Heusen for 18 years. She holds degrees from Queens College and Fashion Institute of Technology. She also holds numerous real estate certifications and has served multiple terms on the Board of Directors of the MLS. A 24-year resident of Pelham, Iemma volunteers for Habitat for Humanity and various realtor benefit and fundraising committees.

Citi Habitats has named Daniel Itingen the new senior managing director of the brokerage’s Cobble Hill, Brooklyn office.
 In his new position, Itingenn will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and financial performance of this location. In addition, he will hire, onboard and train both new and experienced agents – and help them grow their careers.
Itingen is an industry veteran who began his real estate career on Long Island – where he primarily helped buyers and sellers of single-family homes. After the market crash of 2007, he began working in New York City at Citi Habitats’ former Upper East Side office. He also worked in new development marketing for the firm, and helped successfully lease The Addison – a 271-unit luxury rental tower in Brooklyn.
Itingen later went on to hold leadership positions at DSA Realty (now part of City Connections) and Platinum Properties. He has also worked in on-site leasing for aptsandlofts.com and MNS in Williamsburg. Most recently, he was at Mirador Real Estate, where he held director of leasing and project manager roles.   
Itingen was raised in Jackson Heights and Nassau County, and now lives in Downtown Brooklyn.

Agent Michael J. Franco has joined Compass, a real estate technology company.
Ranked among the top one percent of all agents nationwide by the Wall Street Journal/Real Trends, Franco generated nearly $90 million in sales in 2018.
Prior to joining Compass, Franco was a top producer at Corcoran where he worked for 11 years, several of which he was ranked among the leading 25 agents company-wide, and the #1 agent in the Soho office. He is joined at Compass by partners Miriam Richards and Greg Holzman.
A former trust and estates attorney, Franco brings valuable market insights to his clients, whether they’re buying or selling. Although he is well-versed in all NYC neighborhoods, he specializes in the Upper West Side and Downtown.
Franco is based out of Compass’ new 110 Fifth Avenue office.

SHVO has announced the appointment of three new senior executives: Nadia Meratla as  managing director of design and development, Jessica Schmidt as chief financial officer, and Seth Goldman as managing director of development.
Nadia Meratla will oversee the design and programing of SHVO’s expanding portfolio, including a mixed-use retail and residential project in the heart of Beverly Hills, the upcoming Mandarin Oriental residences at 685 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, and The Raleigh in Miami Beach.
Prior to joining SHVO, Meratla was the senior project director at Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group, and previously senior vice president of design and development at Douglas Elliman.
As chief financial officer, Jessica Schmidt will develop and oversee financial strategies for the SHVO portfolio, as well as manage lender and banking relationships on behalf of the firm. Prior to joining SHVO, Schmidt was chief financial officer at Hidrock Properties in New York where she worked closely with the CEO to chart and track revenue paths.
As managing director based in Miami, Seth Goldman will oversee the development and progress of The Raleigh, which SHVO acquired from Tommy Hilfiger in February, 2019.
Prior to joining SHVO, Goldman was director of development at Fisher Island Holdings LLC in Miami, Florida, where he oversaw development of Palazzo del Sol and Palazzo della Luna on the 216-acre Fisher Island private island residential community known as the wealthiest zip code in the United States.

Douglas Elliman Real Estate has announced that Keith Copley has returned to the company. He had previously worked at Elliman from 2014-2017 and will be joining the Eklund | Gomes Team. Copley is part of the Eklund | Gomes’ new recruitment since opening the 10,000 square foot Paris office.
Copley’s specialty is New York City’s luxury real estate market, and he has broken records in residential, commercial and townhouse sales. Sales have included a $31 million sale at 21 West 10th Street, an $18 million sale at 155 West 11th Street and multi-million sales at five townhouses on Manhattan’s St. Luke’s Place. The majority of his business over the 30 years he’s been in the industry has been done in SoHo where he’s sold in almost every major building, including 158 Mercer, 76 Crosby, 459 West Broadway and 109 Greene Street.
Through his work, Copley has forged strong relationships with top developers, architects, attorneys and designers and these relationships have proven helpful in his servicing of clients. Having lived in Soho, Tribeca, the Upper East and West Sides, as well as the West Village has helped as a broker as well.

As a former partner in a real estate law firm, Rubin has represented buyers, sellers and developers in hundreds of transactions. She is well versed in every aspect of the real estate transaction process and brings over 25 years of experience to Fox. A highly skilled negotiator, she combines effective communication and in-depth knowledge of the current property values to achieve the best terms for her clients.
Rubin is on the board of Making Headway Foundation, a charity helping pediatric cancer patients and their families. A portion of her each sales commissions is given to support this great charity.
