The Hampshire Companies, a real estate investment firm, has welcomed five new employees. The newest additions to the firm include: Jay Stasi, senior development manager; Shanette Robbolino, Operations Administrator; Kristina Fitzpatrick, Investor Relations Marketing Specialist; Dominick Maietta, Real Estate Services Coordinator; and John Frisina, Analyst.

Jay Stasi joins Hampshire in the role of Senior Development Manager, bringing years of experience from his prior role as Vice President of Construction for Spandrel Development Partners. As Senior Development Manager, Stasi will work closely with Hampshire’s development and construction teams to maximize efficiencies throughout the firm’s development pipeline.

Shanette Robbolino brings deep experience from her previous roles with New York Life Insurance Company, Equity Office Properties Trust, and MDN Medical Billing to her new role. Originally hired as an Investor Relations Administrator, Robbolino will be transitioning into the role of Operations Administrator, where she will support the operations team and help oversee corporate processes throughout the firm.

Joining the Investor Relations team, Kristina Fitzpatrick boasts a wide range of experience including several years with UBS and Owl Creek Asset Management. Additionally, Fitzpatrick previously worked as a reporter for Institutional Investor. In her role as Investor Relations Marketing Specialist, Fitzpatrick will prepare content for investor marketing materials for fund launches and direct investment opportunities, as well as for investor and fund advisory board meetings.

Since starting with Hampshire on a temporary basis in 2017, Dominick Maietta has worked closely with the Property Management team on a number of social projects, showcasing his versatility in a wide range of assignments. Stepping into a full-time role as a Real Estate Services Coordinator, Maietta will continue to build upon his impressive track record with the company.

Bolstering Hampshire’s self-storage team, John Frisina will work closely with senior management in the development and management of Hampshire’s self-storage pipeline. Prior to accepting a full-time role with the firm, Frisina completed an internship with Hampshire and is a recent graduate of Rutgers University.


Heitman, a real estate investment management firm, has announced that Peeyush Shukla has joined the firm as its Chief Information and Technology Officer.

In this role, Shukla will be responsible for leading Heitman’s Information Technology initiatives and Infrastructure Group in support of its global investment management business. Shukla will also serve on Heitman’s Global Management Committee and report directly to Maury R. Tognarelli, Heitman CEO.


Urban Land Institute (ULI) Northern New Jersey announces the appointment of its 2020 Advisory Board.

Appointed to two-year terms, ULI Northern New Jersey welcomes Tom Trautner, Member, Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC, and Anthony Ianuale, COO & CFO, Dresdner Robin, as Co-District Council Chairs.

As District Council Co-Chairs, Trautner and Ianuale will provide guidance for ULI Northern New Jersey over FY 2020 and 2021.

Brian Whitmer, Executive Director of the Metropolitan Area Capital Markets Group in Cushman & Wakefield’s New Jersey office, and Michael Lachs, Director, Valbridge Property Advisors, will serve as Co-Chairs on the ULI Northern New Jersey Governance Committee.


Amy Coddington has been named an account manager within RT Specialty’s National Environmental and Construction Professional Liability Practice. She is responsible for assisting the company’s senior management with ongoing new business, marketing, sales and coverage assessment support.

Before joining RT Specialty, Coddington served as a commercial insurance account manager at the Tyrol Insurance Agency located in Newtown, PA.

FXCollaborative, an architecture and design firm, has brought in a new marketing and communications director, Leslie D. Jenkins.

Jenkins brings two decades of experience in top-level marketing and business development for some of the world’s largest AEC firms.

Prior to joining FXC, Jenkins held senior marketing and communications leadership positions at several prominent architectural and engineering firms. Her career experience and responsibilities have included business development, branding, and strategic communications across various channels. She has been consistently recognized for creative marketing campaigns in video, online, and print formats.

She is also an active member of the Society of Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) since 1999.


DeSimone Consulting Engineers has appointed seven engineers to associate leadership positions within the firm’s Structural Design Practice. DeSimone has recently expanded its scope of services to include Forensic/Investigative Engineering, Facade Consulting, and Risk Management and Construction Claims Consulting.

Matthieu Peuler joined DeSimone’s New York office in 2003 and specializes in the design of reinforced concrete and structural steel high-rise, multi-phase, mixed-use developments. His recently completed projects include Madison Square Park Tower, a 777-foot residential tower in Manhattan; City Point, a sprawling mega-development in Brooklyn, New York; and the award-winning Pierhouse at Brooklyn Bridge Park, a waterfront hotel and residential complex.

Calogero “Jerry” Castania joined the firm’s New York office in 2006 and has worked on some of the city’s most high-profile real estate developments including Zaha Hadid’s 520 West 28th Street, a high-end condominium building; Inspir Carnegie Hill, the largest luxury senior housing development to debut in Manhattan; and The Forge, one of the tallest completed structures in Long Island City, Queens.

Hongbo “Melissa” Wang has been with the New York office since 2007. Wang has designed and managed some of the tallest residential developments in the New York City metropolitan area including 220 Central Park South, a new 950-foot-tall structure designed by Robert A.M. Stern and SLCE Architects; 99 Hudson, officially the tallest building in New Jersey; and Millennium Tower Boston, a 60-story, one-million-sf residential tower in Boston.

Amit Mavalankar joined the New York office in 2011 and has contributed to a number of award-winning projects in both New York and New Jersey. His experience includes The Modern in New Jersey, one of the world’s tallest twin-tower developments; the Flushing Commons mega-development in Queens, New York; and Neptune/Sixth, a transformative mixed-use development in Coney Island, Brooklyn.

Pratik Shah has been with the New York office since 2012 and specializes in the design of post-tensioned concrete structures, high-rise towers, and value engineering studies. His most high-profile developments in Manhattan include Rafael Viñoly’s 925-foot-tall tower at 125 Greenwich Street, the Riu Hotel tower in Times Square, and award-winning commercial developments at 510 West 22nd Street and 860 Washington.

Rodolfo Medina, Jr., who has been with the New York team since 2013, has designed and directly overseen a number of high-rise, luxury residential developments in New York City. His most recent projects include 111 Murray, an 800-foot-tall fluted tower designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and Hill West Architects; and in Long Island City, the 70-story 2 Court Square tower, and a 40-story tower at 23-01 42nd Road.

Sun Oh, located in the firm’s San Francisco office since 2013, has managed a diverse mix of project types across the United States. His current projects include the seven-acre Plaza Coral Gables that will eventually debut as the largest-ever development in Coral Gables, Florida; a two-million-square-foot expansion of the Westfield Valley Fair Mall in San Jose, California; and Turnberry Ocean Club, a new, 53-story luxury residential tower currently under construction in Sunny Isles, Florida.

DeSimone Consulting Engineers has also annouced the promotion of Brian Schenck in New York City and Danilo Nanni in Miami to Associate Principals of the firm’s Structural Engineering Practice.

For more than a decade, both Schenck and Nanni have worked on some of DeSimone’s largest and most recognized developments in the United States and abroad.

Brian Schenck joined DeSimone in 2004 and specializes in large-scale renovations and educational developments. In New York City, his most recent projects include The Children’s Museum of Manhattan, which entailed an expansive conversion of an existing landmarked structure into a new cultural destination; P.S. 62, New York’s first net-zero energy school and one of the most sustainable educational facilities in the country; and a full-scale renovation of 888 Broadway, an existing commercial structure located in the historic Flatiron District.

As part of this new role, Schenck will also support DeSimone’s expanding Forensics Practice on structural condition assessments and retrofits.

Danilo Nanni joined DeSimone in 2006 and has extensive experience in high-rise residential, hospitality, and mixed-use developments. Several of his projects are among the tallest in the State of Florida including Panorama Tower, an 868-foot mixed-use development, Brickell Flatiron, a 736-foot condo development, Aston Martin Residences, an 817-foot luxury tower, and Paramount Miami World Center, a 705-foot luxury condo building that is part of the second-largest, ongoing development in the United States.


Racanelli Construction Company, a general contractor, announced the appointment of Kristine Provetto as Executive Administrative Assistant. In this role, her responsibilities will include broad marketing activities, project management support and customer service. She brings to the role experience in project management, customer service, operations and human resources.

Directly prior to joining Racanelli Construction, Provetto served as a Talent Acquisition Specialist/Operations Assistant with KForce Inc. A community-oriented individual, Provetto has served as a Colleges Against Cancer Member and Providence College Pals Volunteer.


Douglas Elliman Real Estate has announced that top South Florida agent and real estate expert, David Siddons and his team of five associates, The David Siddons Group, have joined the firm’s Coral Gables office.

Previously with EWM Realty, Siddons and his team sold over $81 million in 2018 and are known for their knowledgeable Miami realestate market reports, analysis and investors guides that are published seasonally.

Siddons began his career in 2008 with Douglas Elliman and with decades of experience under his belt The David Siddons Group has consistently orchestrated over $100M in yearly sales. Siddons holds the title of the only South Florida real estate agent hired as a private consultant for a Miami-based developer. He was hired by David Martin of Terra to assist with digital marketing and market analytics for Park Grove and Eighty Seven Park.


Commercial real estate veteran Timothy D. Parlante has joined The Feil Organization as Director of Leasing, and will focus on the company’s office properties in New York and on Long Island.

Over his 12-year career, Parlante has represented both tenants and landlords in the office sector, establishing strong relationships with community leaders, residents and businesses that have resulted in new business opportunities, as well as such prominent firms as Northwell Health, Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, Wells Fargo, Edelman Financial Services, Wolters Kluwer, Xerox, Verizon, USAA, Convergint Technologies, and Endo Pharmaceuticals.

Prior to joining The Feil Organization, Parlante was a leasing agent with Long Island-based Damianos Realty Group, where he oversaw a large tenant roster, helping to bring the company’s portfolio to nearly fully leased even as the portfolio territory expanded over the last several years. Previous positions include leasing roles with JLL, where he procured and represented more than one million square feet of property and landlord clients, as well as with Colliers International.


RICS has announced that Neil Shah, Managing Director, Americas, has recently joined the CREtech Leadership Board, a platform for commercial real estate technology. As a CREtech Leadership Board member, he will bring his deep experience in growth strategies, proptech, built environment industry standards and strategic partnerships.

Shah was chosen for his demonstrated ability as an industry thought leader and for his record in growing the RICS footprint, building on the organization’s reputation as the global leader in professional standards in the land, valuation, real estate, infrastructure and construction sectors.

As the leader of RICS in the Americas, Shah is responsible for managing the presence of RICS across the U.S., Canada, the Caribbean and Latin America.

CREtech represents professionals who each have built successful careers in the real estate and tech sectors. The organization functions as a hub for all things proptech, including news and trends, event hosting, networking, thought leadership, consulting and content services.

Prior to joining RICS, Shah was a business development leader in commercial real estate investment and technology. He holds an MBA from Emory University, an MS in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a BA in Economics and a BS in Aerospace Engineering from Boston University.


Avison Young, a commercial real estate services firm, has announced the strategic promotion of company Principal Clint Miller. Miller has been appointed Global Director, Affinity Groups.

In this newly created position, he will manage and oversee the company’s global Affinity Group program and collaborate with the firm’s leadership team to develop and implement a budget and strategy to ensure that the proper operational infrastructure, processes, and people systems are in place to effectively manage and grow the Affinity Groups. He will also work with Affinity Group leaders to employ strategies that support collaboration throughout the organization, and maximize client satisfaction.

Miller has more than 30 years of commercial real estate industry experience. He joined Avison Young in September 2018 as a Principal and member of the enterprise solutions and tenant representation practices’ leadership group.

Miller joined Avison Young from Cushman & Wakefield (C&W). In 2002, he co-founded Northstar Partners in Minneapolis as a member of C&W’s Alliance Program. Northstar Partners quickly rose to prominence. C&W later acquired Northstar Partners and appointed Miller its Minneapolis/St. Paul market leader, and leader of its Alliance program. Prior to joining C&W, Miller served as Managing Director for Grubb & Ellis upon the firm’s entry into Minnesota.

Before entering the commercial real estate industry, Miller was a sales executive with Xerox Corporation. He is a military veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy and completed two tours of duty in the Eastern Mediterranean.

In 2010, he received NAIOP’s President’s Award in recognition of his leadership and positive influence as a catalyst and promoter of economic and professional growth across the commercial real estate industry.

He has volunteered with the University of Minnesota Children’s Cancer Research Fund as a director, and with the mission team at the Roblealto Child Care Association in San Jose, Costa Rica.


Gabriel Sod Hoffs has joined Blackstone Alternative Asset Management (BAAM) as a Managing Director and Head of Emerging Markets and Global Macro Strategy.

Sod Hoffs joins from Caxton Associates where he was a Portfolio Manager focusing on emerging markets. Prior to Caxton, he was a senior investment associate at Bridgewater Associates where he focused on emerging markets, and CIO of Austin Credit Macro, a global macro hedge fund seeded by TPG Capital. Sod Hoffs has also held investment positions at Dodge & Cox and Farallon Capital where he concentrated on currencies, interest rates, and sovereign credit. He obtained a PhD in Economics from Harvard University where he was a Fulbright and Ford-MacArthur fellow.


CBRE Group has appointed John Poulos to lead its Healthcare practice, delivering client solutions in the areas of compliance, facilities management, project management, advisory and transaction, and consulting services to healthcare systems throughout the country.

CBRE Healthcare is a dedicated business group within CBRE focused exclusively on partnering with healthcare providers to deliver solutions. CBRE Healthcare currently manages 7,000 healthcare facilities occupying more than 190 million square feet and administers 12,250 healthcare provider leases.

Poulos first joined CBRE in 1997. Poulos is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University and Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.
