Veteran broker Jimmy Javier dead

Jimmy Javier an assistant vice president at HelmsleySpear passed away on October 25, 2019 at the age of 72.

Mr. Javier was an accomplished and highly respected commercial broker with more than 35 years of commercial leasing and sales experience.

Over a 35-year career, he closed hundreds of transactions working with some of the most prominent domestic and international commercial property owners and corporate tenants.

“The entire HelmsleySpear corporate family is saddened to lose one of our most accomplished and treasured colleagues. He was a wonderful member of our team, a great New Yorker, and a dear friend we will miss him greatly,” said Kent M. Swig, -resident of HelmsleySpear.

Mr. Javier grew up in Manila, Philippines and attended college in Washington, D.C. at George Washington University.

Early in his career he worked at Vicus Partners, a tenant rep firm where his clients included Thai Farmers Bank, and The Government of Thailand,

He died at his home, surrounded by his family and close friends. He was a loving husband and father to his wife Sylvia and son Marcus.
