Union Square all set for Salt Bae

Chef and internet sensation Nusret Gökçe, known worldwide as Salt Bae, has inked a new retail lease for his burger-centric restaurant at 220 Park Avenue South in Union Square.

The lease includes 2,800 square feet of ground-floor space, as well as 3,200 square feet on the lower level for storage and preparation. Nusr-Et Burger is slated to open in Summer 2019.

CBRE’s Eric Gelber and Jordan Kaplan represented Salt Bae, who also owns the chain of Nusr-Et Steakhouses, in the lease negotiations. CBRE colleagues Lon Rubackin and Michael Kadosh acted on behalf of the ownership.

Additionally, Meister Seelig & Fein’s Hotel & Hospitality Chair, Christy Reuter, represented Nusret Holdings in the lease negotiations.
