Mark Taylor, Mayor of the Borough of Florham Park, New Jersey, joined officials from The Goddard School, KBS and Avison Young to break ground on Goddard’s new facility at Park Avenue at Morris County.
An early childhood education provider, Goddard will occupy a 8,250 s/f space in the complex, which will be developed by the property’s owner, KBS Real Estate Investment Trust II, on a build-to-suit basis.
This is the 61st New Jersey location for The Goddard School, which has 400 locations in 35 states. The business model has been recognized by Entrepreneur magazine as a top childcare franchise in the United States. Today, the school serves more than 50,000 families each day.
The Avison Young team of principal and managing director Jeffrey Heller and principal William McCaffrey, which represented KBS in lease negotiations, serve as exclusive leasing agent for the complex, which features three full-service cafes; an executive conference center equipped with the latest audio/visual technology; a dining club , fitness center attended by a massage therapist, physical therapist and fitness instructors; a basketball court; car wash and detailing services; valet dry cleaning; dedicated in-house concierge; and electric car-charging stations.
