Sapir signs Canon as direct tenant at 261 Madison

The Sapir Organization has leased 25,000 s/f to Canon as a direct tenant at 261 Madison Avenue.

Canon signed a six-year lease with a five-year renewal option to occupy 24,408s/f across the building’s entire third floor.


Canon had previously sublet the floor from Radio Networks and elected to stay following Radio Networks’ Chapter 11 reorganization.

“We are excited to welcome Canon into 261 Madison as direct tenant. The lease is a validation of our ongoing, hands-on attention and commitment to this property and to our tenants,” said Alex Sapir, CEO of The Sapir Organization.

“We are extremely pleased to have been busy with new leases, expansions and renewals at both 261 and 260 Madison. In total we have leased 188,000 square feet in the past year.”
