Onyx Equities expands to Memphis

Onyx Equities’ national expansion is continuing with news that the company will open in Memphis, Tennessee.

Already this year, New Jersey-based Onyx has opened management offices in Atlanta, Georgia, Crofton, Maryland and Charlotte, North Carolina.

Onyx continues to rapidly expand its management portfolio of REO-assigned and receivership properties.

By the end of 2015, the company projects that it will have extensive asset management operations up and running in 15 states.

Leading the Memphis office will be Claudia Woods, who will work under the direction of Onyx’s regional property manager, Jon Lakner.  In her most recent role at Cushman & Wakefield Commercial Advisors, Woods managed a 2,895,636-square-foot distressed property that consisted of 25 industrial, flex and retail buildings

Jonathan Schultz, managing principal and co-founder of Onyx Equities, said a principal reason driving the growth of Onyx’s REO/Receivership business is the company’s commitment to what Schultz calls the “Three Ts” of 21st-century commercial real estate success: talent, technologyand team.

The Onyx platform allows on-site and regional management teams to streamline every aspect of their operations and communications.

Functionalities include a customizable dashboard, management of receivables and payables, cash flow forecasting, tracking of leasing activities, scheduling of maintenance activities, enhanced data analysis and responding to tenant needs.
