NKF tasked with rounding out Empire Outlets roster

Newmark Knight Frank (NKF) has been named as exclusive leasing agent for the 350,000 s/f Empire Outlets outdoor shopping, dining and lifestyle center in Staten Island.

Vice Chairman Jeffrey Roseman, Senior Managing Director Marc Frankel and Associate Director Drew Weiss are representing the development’s owners, St. George Outlet Development LLC, in the merchandising and leasing of the 100,000 s/f currently available at the center.

Empire Outlets is on Richmond Terrace, steps from the Staten Island Ferry terminal, which includes not only the State Island Ferry and, as of 2020, a Midtown Fast Ferry.

Part of ownership’s overall strategy was to bring in a firm with a history of placemaking to round out the successful leasing of the property.

Since two-thirds of Empire Outlets is open and leased to a variety of top tier tenants, Newmark will focus on bringing in additional world class brands to add to the mix and create an ideal visitor experience. Retailers already at the center are American Eagle Outfitters, Nordstrom Rack, Nike Factory Store, H&M, and Brooks Brothers. Shake Shack and a concept from the team from Gansevoort Market will be opening soon to the dining offerings.

There is 40,000 s/f of waterfront dining and views of the Statue of Liberty.

Roseman said, ā€œThis is a prime location for any tenant looking to capitalize on a wide range of consumers spending money across the city. We’re looking forward to working with ownership to lease the rest of the space.”
