Life science leader renews lease at midtown Himmel + Meringoff tower

525 West 57th Street

LabCorp, an S&P 500 company, has renewed its 15,000 s/f lease at Himmel + Meringoff’s 525 West 57th Street, the landlord announced.

LabCorp remains at the property in the company of prominent life sciences industry tenants including International Multiple Sclerosis Management Practice and the Tisch MS Research Center of New York.

Following this lease renewal, Himmel + Meringoff is actively marketing two blocks of 100,000 s/f of contiguous available space which can be divided to as small as 15,000 s/f.

Adam Weissleder, director of leasing at Meringoff Properties, said, “We are very pleased that LabCorp has chosen to stay on with us at 525 West 57th Street in the company of important industry peers. The firm’s decision to remain underscores the building’s value among America’s premier life sciences companies as well as Manhattan’s emergence as a center for the industry.”

525 West 57th Street is a ten-story, 480,000 s/f commercial property located towards the west of Columbus Circle. The property’s newest renovation, a new lobby designed by architecture firm, MdeAS, will be completed by year-end 2019.

David Opper, Jim Silberfein and Tom Fowke from CBRE represented the tenant in this transaction.
