Kushner taps CBRE to lease Dumbo Heights

Kushner Companies has signed CBRE Group, Inc. as the exclusive leasing agent for DUMBO Heights, a 1.2 million square-foot mixed-use urban campus in the heart of the Brooklyn Tech Triangle.

Already home to Etsy, WeWork and other creative companies, DUMBO Heights has roughly 350,000 s/f of office space remaining.

Kushner Companies is developing the project in partnership with RFR and LIVWRK.

CBRE will market the remaining space, which includes a 275,000 s/f site with exterior signage opportunities at 175 Pearl Street, which is visible from both the Brooklyn Bridge and the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway.

That loft-style space has a side-core building design with three full sides of windows offering views of lower Manhattan and the Brooklyn Bridge from every floor. The space includes a private roof deck and connects to 77 Sands Street via skybridge.

“All you need to do is look at our expanding tenant list and it’s clear: DUMBO Heights has become the place to be for New York City’s leading innovation economy companies,” said Jared Kushner, CEO of Kushner Companies.

“Now there’s a incredible opportunity for a business that not only wants to be at the heart of the action at DUMBO Heights, but to put its stamp squarely on it.”

CBRE has assigned a team of Sacha Zarba, executive vice president; Jeffrey Fischer, senior vice president, and Zak Snider, vice president as agents for the project.

“We are thrilled to partner with Kushner, RFR and LIVWRK in their leasing efforts at Dumbo Heights,” said Zarba.

“The complex contains cool retail, including a beer hall, a communal rooftop lounge, incredible views and terrific access to transportation – all the key ingredients companies are looking for in Dumbo.”

The addition of CBRE is one of several of upcoming milestones for DUMBO Heights, which will feature a completely revamped streetscape and fully furnished communal roof deck for tenants by the end of Q2 2016. Along with Etsy, WeWork, Prolific Interactive, Frog Design and Alexis Bittar on the office side, Dumbo Heights Heights will be home to retailers including Row House, Bluestone Lane Coffee, Dig Inn, Randolph Beer and Shadowbox.
