Consolo and Aquino represented the landlord, The 57th Street Dorchester, Inc. The tenant’s broker was Robert K. Futterman & Associates.
The haute confectionary brand’s fifth New York City store ispositioned in the former Gioia Galleria, surrounded by such neighbors as ORO Gold Cosmetics, S.J. “Fashionable 57th Street now has its own chic chocolatier to complement the baubles, bespoke and designer brands,” said Consolo. “It’s a delicious location for Jacques Torres Chocolate that will undoubtedly be a draw for sophisticated New Yorkers and tourists, alike.”
Added Aquino, “In addition to being on a world famous street in a luxury co-op building, there is an international hotel on the same block and one across the street. Most of Mr. Torres’ other locations have been in residential neighborhoods, but this store is in the heart of the city’s most exclusive retail, residences, hotels and office buildings.”
