Solil Management, the real estate company that manages the assets of the late real-estate mogul Sol Goldman, recently signed a 14-year-sublease from Hess Corporation for the entire 10th floor at 1185 Avenue of the Americas.
The sub-lease for 27,508 s/f goes until the end of 2027.
Hess Corp. occupies six additional floors in the building and has 14 years remaining on its existing lease.
The tenant, Jane Goldman is the daughter of the late Sol Goldman, the founder of Solil Management. Solil Management is moving from 640 Fifth Avenue, where they have been located for some 30 years.
Norman Bobrow & Company president Norman Bobrow and senior director David Badner represented the tenant, Solil Management.
Amy Fox and Stuart Romanoff of Cushman Wakefield represented Hess Corp.
According to Bobrow, Goldman needed to find Solil more space because it is growing with the next generation of the Goldman family entering the business.
None of the buildings owned by Solil Management were suitable for the firm to occupy because they are primarily smaller spaces, said Bobrow. The broker said the deal also included a free-rent package of 15 months. Asking rents at 1185 Sixth are $70 psf.
