(New York, New York) – New York City real estate leader Joseph Sitt was named Entrepreneur of the Year at the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ 2014 Awards gala last night at the Marriot Marquis in New York City. Mr. Sitt currently serves as the Co-Founder and CEO of TOWN Residential and Founder and CEO of Thor Equities.
Recognized as one of the world’s most prestigious business awards, the Ernst and Young award honors distinguished entrepreneurs who demonstrate widespread success, a commitment to innovation and forward thinking, and unwavering passion for business.

Exhibiting an entrepreneurial spirit from a young age, Joseph Sitt launched his first business venture, Thor Equities, while still an undergraduate at New York University.
Today, Joseph Sitt heads up TOWN Residential, a tailored luxury residential brokerage service and presides over a real estate development and investment portfolio valued at over $5 billion and totaling more than 15 million square feet. Mr. Sitt also serves as the Chairman and Founder of the not-for-profit Global Gateway Alliance, created in 2012 to address the infrastructure challenges facing New York metropolitan area airports.
EY Entrepreneur of the Year award winners are selected by an independent panel of judges who are former recipients of the award, including CEOs, private capital investors, and regional business leaders. As a New York award winner, Joseph Sitt will be automatically eligible for consideration for the Entrepreneur Of The Year 2014 national program. National award winners in several categories, and the overall Entrepreneur Of The Year National Award winner, will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, California, on November 15, 2014.
