Hartz Mountain Industries is re-developing a 450,000 s/f distribution center in Secaucus formerly used by Panasonic as a warehouse and counter for Ferguson Enterprises, Inc.
Hartz said it will create a “like-new facilityˮ for the nation’s largest plumbing supplies wholesaler.
“Ferguson is just the second tenant on the site in more than 40 years and introduces yet another edge on the identity of the Harmon Cove district,” said Emanuel Stern, president and COO of Hartz Mountain Industries.
“Harmon Cove established the vitality of the Meadowlands as a commercial hub when Panasonic announced it would site its US headquarters there in 1969. Since then, every concievable asset class has thrived at Harmon Cove, with its phenomenal location.”
“Hartz’s portfolio has seen a second generation of use at many of its legacy sites,” said Ernest A. Christoph, senior vice pesident sales & leasing. “The Ferguson facility is very specific to the company¹s business strategy and is the latest example of our ability to reinvent prime locations to attract esteemed users.”
The facility will open spring 2015.
