DONE DEALS: South Williamsburg record

With a closing price of over $1,000 psf, Citi Habitats agent Carolina Gontijo’s recent sale of 391 South 3rd Street was a record-breaker for the South Williamsburg community.

Selling for $3,575,000, the unique two-family townhouse with a façade clad in reclaimed brick and lined with oversized

warehouse-style windows has a 1,000 s/f backyard and private off-street parking.

The owner’s triplex includes a master suite with a “wet room-style” bath.

“Everyone who visited was impressed with the home’s elegant finishes,” said Gontijo. “Some people commented that the master bath was larger than some studio apartments in Manhattan. Pictures don’t do it justice.”

“This sale was unique because we were looking for a specific buyer who was not looking for just space, but something one-of-a-kind.”

The home’s buyers were a young couple who were excited about the property the first time they laid eyes on it.
The initial asking price for the townhouse was $3,750,000, and it was on the market for 21 weeks. Ben Garama at Corcoran represented the buyers.
