Sills Cummis & Gross P.C. (SC&G), a corporate law firm, has signed a 24,600 s/f sublease for office space at 101 Park Avenue in Midtown.
Sills Cummis & Gross was represented on the eight-year sublease by global commercial real estate services firm Savills Studley.
The law firm will move its offices in September 2014, following the expiration of its 30,000 s/f sublease with Chadbourne & Parke at 30 Rockefeller Plaza.
Savills Studley corporate managing director Zev J. Holzman and executive maanaging director Paul Revson, along with associate Ryan Rafter represented Sills Cummis & Gross in the long-term sublease transaction, while JLL executive vice president Patrick Heeg represented the sublandlord.
According to Holzman, who also recently advised Sills Cummis & Gross in Newark, NJ, on its headquarters project, the law firm needed immediate availability and ready-built space in Midtown.
“With Chadbourne moving to 1301 Avenue of the Americas, Sills needed to find efficient, cost effective space within a short timeframe,” he said, noting that the firm wanted to maintain its central location and close proximity to transportation. “After an exhaustive search process, we were able to secure move-in ready, cost effective sublease space that met all of the firm’s geographic and build out criteria.”
