CIBS Long Island recognizes top brokers

At last week’s annual meeting, the Commercial Industrial Brokers Society of Long Island (CIBS) recognized the industry’s best and brightest at their annual awards ceremony.

Among this year’s honorees was immediate past-president and Managing Director at JLL David C. Leviton, who was awarded the 2021 Achievement award for his longstanding work to strengthen CIBS and the commercial real estate industry on Long Island.

“David’s contribution to our industry and organization have been considerable,” said CIBS President Daniel J. Wiener. “Thanks to his leadership and the leadership of so many dedicated professionals, the commercial real estate industry continues to grow despite the past 18 months of uncertainty.”

CIBS also honored Daniel Ginsberg and David Hercman of Milvado as the Associate Members of the Year. Milvado has been an invaluable partner and supporter of CIBS over the last several years.

Additionally, three young brokers were awarded the Rising Star award: Jon Winzelberg of RIPCO; John Giannuzzi of Cushman & Wakefield; and James Parnes of Schacker Realty. The Rising Star award is given to young professionals who show talent and commitment to the best practices of the commercial real estate industry.
