Camera rental co. leases new LIC headquarters building

Cushman & Wakefield arranged a long-term lease for ARRI Rental at 47-27 36th Street in Long Island City.

The tenant, a camera, lens and grip equipment rental service company, will utilize the entire 42,000 s/f building for its new North American headquarters.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Joseph Grotto, Joseph Meyerson and Michael Deutsch represented the landlord, JDA Realty Corporation, in the transaction. The tenant was represented by Justin Butts of DY Realty.

“We are thrilled to welcome ARRI Rental to Long Island City,” said Grotto. “Long Island City’s convenient central location and accessibility to the other boroughs is highly desirable for tenants across the board.”

47-27 36th Street is a three-story industrial building that features two accessible roof decks with views of Manhattan. Built in 2004, the property offers a lobby and reception room, conference room, private offices, one passenger elevator, one freight elevator, operational tilt up windows, a 14’ wide exterior tailboard and a 30’ wide drive-in.

The asset is in close proximity to mass transit and offers direct access to Midtown Manhattan, Brooklyn, Roosevelt Island, Long Island and the Bronx.

ARRI Rental is expected to have a grand opening in the first quarter of 2022. This location will replace the company’s existing facilities in Secaucus, NJ and Brooklyn and will be the company’s largest facility in North America.
