BOMA renames leadership school

DAN CHANCEY

In celebration of a cherished BOMA leader, the BOMA Fellows Leadership Academy has been renamed the Daniel W. Chancey Leadership Academy.

The decision was made to honor Dan Chancey, BOMA Fellow, RPA, for the contributions he has made to the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International over the years and his role in shaping future leaders.

The Leadership Academy, established in 2016, is a mentoring program that provides guidance and support to BOMA members who are interested in pursuing leadership positions within BOMA International.

Chancey — most recently a senior asset manager with Cushman & Wakefield — has served in various leadership positions throughout the BOMA organization for over 20 years. He earned the Chair’s Award in 2012 and has remained a dedicated champion for emerging professionals and leadership development.

“Naming the leadership academy after Dan Chancey is more than fitting,” said BOMA International Chair Scott O. Jones. “ I feel honored to call Dan a role model, consummate professional and wonderful human being.”
