Winick Realty Group President Steven E. Baker and Director Charles Rapuano announced the successful completion of their retail leasing efforts at 2062 Broadway and the subsequent launch of efforts to lease nearby Upper West Side availabilities at 2060 Broadway and 2322 Broadway.
Café Metro, the fast-casual dining chain with five locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn, signed a lease for 2,150 s/f, including 1,150 s/f on the ground floor and 1,000 s/f in the basement.
The location will feature Café Metro’s sleeker store design, which was first launched in their store at 162 West 56th Street.
Baker and also represented Café Metro in the long-term lease transaction and the store is expected to open in Summer 2019.
The pair also represented landlord The Brodsky Organization, as they have in many retail leases in the building over the years, including a Just Salad location two years ago.
On the heels of this lease signing, Baker and Rapuano are bringing to market the space next door to the incoming Café Metro at 2060 Broadway, located between West 70th and West 71st Streets.
The 1,482 s/f space is comprised of an 857 s/f ground floor with 15 ft. ceilings and 35 feet of Broadway frontage; 348 s/f in the basement and 277 s/f in the mezzanine.
The space is available immediately and ownership is seeking amenity uses for the space, including salons, cosmetics and apparel.
Further uptown, Baker and Rapuano are marketing the retail at 2322 Broadway, located on the Northeast corner of West 84th Street, on behalf of Bi-Costal Properties This location has been home to Game Stop for the past decade and this is the first time the space has been on the market since that lease. The 4,500-square-foot availability includes 3,000 square feet on the ground floor with 100 feet of wraparound corner frontage and 1,500 square feet in the basement.
