Executives at EVO Real Estate Group, a member of NAI Global, negotiated a 2,000 s/f lease to Taste Wine Co. at 50 Third Avenue.
CEO and principal Ira Z. Fishman and principal Nathan Halegua, along with executive vice president Robert Frischman, negotiated the lease in the property, which is owned by Fishman and Halegua.
Taste Wine Co., scheduled to open in late spring, will offer a tasting program and tasting room, along with a selection of wines for purchase. The store signed a ten-year lease.
“Taste Wine Co. is an ideal tenant for the building and for the neighborhood, providing a new amenity and an enjoyable option to local residents,” said Halegua.
“We at Taste Wine Co. are thrilled to be bringing our disruptive retail wine concept to the East Village and the amazing space at 50 Third Ave.,” said Gary Landsman, a representative of Taste Wine Co.
“We feel incredibly fortunate to have secured this space on Third Ave., and know we will fit in well with other disrupters in the area, such as Facebook, Mashable, Spotify, Watson and Yelp.”
Landsman adds: “The East Village has always been known for playing by its own rules, and Taste Wine did a little bit of ‘rule writing’ when the NY State Liquor Authority approved our concept to allow customers to taste all our wines via wine-dispensing machines accessed through our mobile app. We look forward to a long relationship with our landlord, and can’t wait to meet our new wine-loving friends at Taste’s launch in late spring 2015.”
The asking rent for Taste Wine Co.’s space was $150 psf.
