Colliers International has continued the expansion of its New York operations with the addition of Philip R. Weissas an executive director.
Throughout his 34-year career, Weiss has been responsible for completing more than 20 million square feet of commercial real estate transactions, with a focus on corporate clients, predominantly in the New York/Tri-State region.
Prior to joining Colliers International, Weiss held senior positions with Cushman & Wakefield and CB Richard Ellis, dating back to Insignia/ESG.
Weiss began his professional career as a project architect with Skidmore Owings & Merrill, and then proceeded to work for numerous New York-based commercial real estate companies including the Peter R. Friedman Ltd., Merrill Lynch Commercial Real Estate, the Lansco Corporation and his own commercial real estate companies.
He is two-time recipient of the REBNY Hart Rice Award for Most Ingenious Deal of the Year, for arranging the purchase and relocation of the US headquarters of the Bertelsmann companies to 1540 Broadway, and coordinating the sale of the 450,000 s/f Hudson Hotel to Ian Schrager Hotels with a corresponding 200,000- s/f lease for Thirteen/WNET broadcast/office facilities at 450 West 33rd Street.
Arbor Commercial Mortgage, LLC announced the appointment of Jack Boudler as vice president, Seniors Housing and Healthcare Origination.
Boudler is responsible for originating loans nationwide utilizing all of Arbor’s product lines.
Boudler has focused on seniors housing and healthcare finance for most of his 26 year career in finance and mortgage banking.
Before joining Arbor, he was a permanent loan originator and senior vice presidentwith KeyBank Real Estate Capital for more than 18 years.
Prior to KeyBank, he held various positions at BB&T Corporation over eight years, including vice president of Commercial Banking.
Boudler earned a Bachelor’s degree from Hillsdale College and a Master of Business Administration degree from Wake Forest University.
Management and construction industry veteran Kevin Hoey has joined L&L Holding Company, LLC, as director of operations.
Hoey brings over 30 years of construction and property management experience to the firm. In his new post, he will oversee the operational and capital improvement functions within L&L’s Property Management Group, with a focus on planning, quality control and efficiency.
Prior to L&L, Hoey served as a vice president at Cassidy Turley. Before that, he was managing director of Capital Properties, overseeing a six million square-foot East Coast property portfolio.
He started his career managing iconic assets such as Rockefeller Center and the Chrysler Building for Tishman Speyer.
A graduate of Iona College, Hoey currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA/NY) and various children’s charities.
Cassidy Turley announced the addition of nine new team members including five brokers, three new property managers and a marketing associate.
Jamie Greenspan brings more than 15 years of commercial real estate experience to Cassidy Turley with a strong background in industrial property leasing, management and construction.
In his new role, he will focus his brokerage efforts on the Northern NJ market.
With more than 10 years of industrial and commercial real estate brokerage experience, Linda Hill’s expertise in the acquisition and disposition of industrial properties for institutional and private companies on a local and national basis is expected to strengthen the office’s overall objectives.
Prior to joining Cassidy Turley, Hill served as vice president at Lee and Associates of New Jersey.

Melissa Sievwright has been named assistant vice president of marketing at Levin Management.
Sievwright joined Levin Management as associate marketing director in 2010. This marks her third promotion within the company in less than three years.
With a background in graphic design and marketing, Sievwright previously served as Levin Management’s director of marketing, heading corporate branding efforts, implementing promotional campaigns for select client properties, and supporting the firm’s leasing team in marketing vacancies within the company’s 90-property, 12.5 million-square-foot shopping center portfolio.
In her new position, Sievwright has taken on a management role as well, and will increase her focus on corporate branding.
Her short-term goals involve enhancing the company’s online presence and updating its look, beginning with a new website and logo.

Greystone has appointed Robert Russell as the head of CMBS Production and Managing Director for the firm’s Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac platform.
In this newly created position, Russell will coordinate the firm’s production of CMBS loans and originate multifamily Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loans for Greystone’s agency platform. He will be based in the New York City office.
Russell brings more than 15 years of real estate experience to Greystone and has executed transactions in excess of $6 billion throughout his distinguished career.
Previously, he was the chief production officer at Pillar Multifamily, LLC and served as a managing director at Wachovia Securities. He has also held similar positions at Credit Suisse, Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette and Nomura Asset Capital Corporation.
Russell holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Vermont and a Juris Doctorate from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.
Pia Silvestri, a veteran of commercial real estate in New York for nearly 20 years, has been named director of operations at the Empire State Building, announces Anthony Malkin, president of Malkin Holdings, LLC,which supervises The World’s Most Famous Office Building.
Silvestri assumes her new post following nine years with Tishman Speyer, where she served most recently as director – property management at The MetLife Building.
Before that, she was property manager at 666 Fifth Avenue.
At the Empire State Building, Silvestri is responsible for the daily operations and property management for the building, and directs the planning and execution of all property operations and maintenance for the entire asset.
She also assists in overseeing a third-party project management team involved in the building’s $550 million upgrade program.
In 2012, Silvestri was accredited as a LEED Green Associate, and she is an associate member of BOMA New York. In 2009, she received the Real Estate Board of New York’s On-Site Manager of the Year award.
She attended Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts, where she received a B.A. in political science.

In addition, he conducts sales, purchases and mortgage refinancings of residential and commercial properties.

DTZ announced that the firm has hired Frank Truesdell as senior vice president, co-managing director of its Iselin, NJ office.
Truesdell will be overseeing brokerage operations with executive vice president Peter Yannotta who will be dedicating more time to the expansion of the firm’s DTZ Data Center Practice (DCP).
Prior to joining DTZ, Truesdell served as a senior vice president with both CBRE and Jones Lang LaSalle. His primary responsibilities with these organizations, and the former Trammell Crow Company (where he spent the bulk of his 22-year career), included the representation of clients in the acquisition and disposition of corporate facilities, lease and financial analysis and negotiations in New Jersey and elsewhere across the U.S.
During his extensive career, Truesdell has completed over 750 lease and sale transactions with a net aggregate value in excess of $1 billion.
He is a graduate of Penn State University.
Ernst & Young LLP announced that Cristina Arumi has joined its National Tax practice as a principal in the Real Estate group and will focus on transactions.
Arumi joins Ernst & Young LLP from the law firm of Hogan Lovells, where she was the leader of its Global Tax practice.
Arumi received her B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, her J.D. from Duke University School of Law, and her LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center.
She is a member of the Tax Section of the American Bar Association and a member of the Government Relations Committee, National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts.
Stephanie Cabral has joined the Colliers International Hartford office as an associate.
Cabral is an attorney licensed in both Connecticut and Florida, with extensive experience in real estate transactions.
She has represented clients in land purchases, property sales, construction inspection and claims, site selection, and lease negotiations.
She has served as both Secretary and Treasurer of the Connecticut Bar Association’s alternative dispute resolution section.
In 2010, she was selected to serve as U.S. delegate to a United Nations Working Group dedicated to transnational dispute resolution.
