
The Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation (BNYDC) announced that David Ehrenberg, currently executive vice president at New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC), has been appointed as the new president and CEO of the not-for-profit that manages the 300-acre, city-owned industrial park.
Ehrenberg and his team will oversee the development of more than one million square feet of new industrial space within the Yard.
Prior to his appointment, Ehrenberg was co-head of the Real Estate Transaction Services group at NYCEDC.
Before that, he worked at South Brooklyn Legal Services as the co-ordinator for a microenterprise program.
He is a graduate of Wesleyan University where he majored in government and urban studies and received dual Masters Degrees from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University in Public Policy and Urban Planning.

Eastern Consolidated has brought aboard another professional to expand its Retail Sales Group.
Carlos G. Olson has joined the firm as associate director. Previously he was at Massey Knakal Realty Services where he focused on the sale of properties in SoHo, NoLita, Hudson Square, Little Italy and Chinatown.
During his tenure, he brokered a total of 15 transactions valued at more than $162 million. Notable sales included the 11-building Bowery Portfolio for $62 million, 100 Vandam for $27.5 million and 224 Mulberry for $26 million.
Before Massey Knakal, Olson co-founded Firm Inmobiliaria in Guadalajara, Mexico, a residential and commercial real estate brokerage .
Earlier, he worked as sales manager for Livorno Towers, a residential development in Guadalajara, and prior to that as a sales director for Homex Development Corporation in Sinaloa, Mexico.
He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Universidad Panamericana, Guadalajara Mexico.

Jason Park, a capital markets specialist with a concentration on the Asian real estate investment sector, has relocated from Savills in Korea to join the company’s US-based Cross-Border Investment team in New York.
Park, an associate director, has helped close more than $760 million in investment transactions since co-founding the International Investment Advisory team for Savills Korea in 2009. He first came to the firm’s Seoul office in 2006.
Prior to joining the Savills investment department, Park was responsible for managing more than 4.7 million square feet of office and retail space owned by seven clients.
He holds both a bachelor of science and master of science degree from Yonsei University in Seoul.

Financial professionals Katherine Lau and James Trayor have joined the firm as Asset Management Analysts, reporting to L&L’s senior vice president and director of asset management, Howard L. Slavin.
They will be responsible for supporting the asset management team in managing, recapitalizing and refinancing L&L’s portfolio of office buildings and development projects.
Katherine Lau began her career at Prudential Real Estate Investors as an investment analyst in the firm’s PRISA II core-plus fund, where she supported the asset management and development teams in managing the portfolio’s complex retail investments and distressed land positions.
She is a graduate of New York University, where she received the Founders’ Day Award.
James Traynor formerly worked with Ernst & Young’s Transaction Real Estate Group in New York City.
He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelors of Finance and holds a Master’s in Real Estate from the University of Florida.

A 1991 graduate of Villanova University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology, Racanelli entered the mortgage business in 2008 after establishing himself in his family’s successful real estate development company.

He joins CBRE from BBDO NY where he served as an executive vice president.
Suchman has more than 20 years of extensive business-to-business marketing and brand-building experience.
