WHO’S NEWS: DE announces new team, Citi Habitats welcome agent manager

Douglas Elliman announced that Michael Lorber and Alexander Boriskin have co-founded The Michael Lorber Team.

The two brokers have over $1 billion in closed deals to date and have completed transactions in some of New York City’s most notable condominiums and co-ops ,such as 432 Park Avenue, The River House, One Beacon Court and 620 Park Avenue.

The team will be located at Douglas Elliman headquarters at 575 Madison Avenue.

Lorber began his real estate career as an attorney, procuring hundreds of millions of dollars of real estate transactions.



He joined Douglas Elliman in 2006 and and appeared in the first season of Bravo’s Million Dollar Listing New York.

Both Lorber and Boriskin have had success with residential resales and have overseen numerous new development projects.

Boriskin has broken price records in buildings across the city. His track record of sales extends to the Brooklyn and Hamptons markets as well as an extensive network in Miami and Palm Beach.

The Michael Lorber Team’s new development work includes 100 Franklin Street, Charlie West, The Azure and15 William Street.
Warburg Realty announced that Bonnie Lindenbaum has joined the company.

Lindenbaum brings 21 years of real estate experience to the table and is an expert on the streets of Manhattan. She will join the company’s flagship office at 654 Madison Avenue on the Upper East Side, headed by Sales Director Steven Goldschmidt.

Lindenbaum was born and raised in New York. She holds an undergraduate degree in Theater and a Master’s degree in Special Education, both from New York University.

Before she joined the real estate industry, she taught in the NYC school system for 10 years.
Douglas Elliman has welcomed Richard Abatelli to its Mattituck office.

The venerable broker, who is also a certified appraiser, helmed his own Cutchogue-based brokerage, Abatelli Realty, for nearly 40 years. A third-generation real estate agent, his family has been in the industry since 1908.

Abatelli is currently the vice president of the North Fork Chamber of Commerce and recently served as VP of the Lions Club of Cutchogue. Additionally, he is in the Leadership Circle for the East End Arts Council and is a member of the Riverbed Chamber of Commerce, Riverhead Elks Lodge 2044, the New York Farm Bureau and is a past board member of the North Fork Promotion Council.

Douglas Elliman also welcomed veteran agent Bob Bittner to its Mattituck office.

Previously with Abatelli Realty, the former Navy man has spent a lifetime in customer service. Prior to becoming an agent, he held the position of Postmaster with the United States Postal Service for more than 20 years and served two terms as the National Vice President of the National League of Postmasters.
Douglas Elliman Real Estate announced that Jessica Peters has joined The Eklund|Gomes Team.

Co-founded by Fredrik Eklund and John Gomes, the team is among the highest achieving in the country. Peters will be their Executive Manager of Brooklyn Sales, leading resales and working with many of the new developments that are rising in the borough.

The Brooklyn broker brings six agents with her, including Allison Dubuisson, Justin McMahon, Daniel Fried, Jennyrose Halupka, Monica Breese and Vanessa Rodriguez, who will be serving as Peter’s operations manager.

In her 12 years with Douglas Elliman Brooklyn, Peters has led sales for 71 new development projects and has achieved approximately $850 million in sales volume.

With the addition of Peter’s, along with their expansion into Miami and California, The Eklund|Gomes Team brings their total agent count to 35, nearly tripling in size over the course of a year.

As they continue to expand their footprint in locations where they see future growth potential, the team is also growing in number at their brand new 10,000 s/f flagship office in the Flatiron District, where they are currently recruiting new agents.
Citi Habitats has welcomed Maggie Jensen to a new role as their Agent Experience Manager.

Jensen will foster engagement with the agent community and strengthen Citi Habitats’ company culture.
She will work closely with both the Marketing and Education departments to conduct 1:1 trainings, feedback interviews and continuing education opportunities.

Jensen will re-vamp Citi Habitats’ on-boarding process, recruit talent – and help retain agents.

Prior to moving to her new role, Jensen was Citi Habitats’ Agent Marketing Coordinator for Brooklyn. Before that, she was an agent at the firm’s Williamsburg office. She also worked in sales and marketing for a Downtown condo development while at Compass. In addition, she was one of the first three hires at TripleMint, where she served as their Client Experience Manager.
Douglas Elliman Real Estate announced that Ronnie Diamonde has joined the firm.

Ranked in the top one percent of 64,000 NRT brokers nationwide, Diamonde joins Elliman from Corcoran.
He will be based out of Elliman’s office at 111 Fifth Avenue, but is also licensed in the Hamptons and will work out of the firm’s Southampton office as well.

Diamonde has sold over $500 million worth of real estate throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn and the Hamptons.

A long-time West Village resident, he specializes primarily in the downtown market, including SoHo, Tribeca, Battery Park, and the Financial District – where he accomplished selling 42 units at luxury condominium 1 Wall Street Court.

Diamonde has restored and redesigned several homes in Southampton Village.

Prior to real estate, he was a sales specialist and trader for a securities company, dealing extensively with Fortune 500 firms. His is a graduate of Seton Hall University with a Marketing degree.
Houlihan Lawrence has announced the addition of ten new agents to its White Plains office:

Vincent Caiola is former paramedic and 9/11 first responder. He left that field in 2014 to become an international flight attendant and later entered real estate. He joins from Keller Williams Realty.

Susan Cermele has 18 years of experience in the sales industry, working most recently as an agent with Keller Williams Realty and in financial services as a mortgage banker and licensed financial services salesperson.

After several years in real estate, Paul DiMarco moves to Houlihan Lawrence from Keller Williams Realty. Before that, he owned his own company for 17 years. DiMarco holds a degree in architecture from the New York Institute of Technology.

Tulay Erdem was previously with Post Road Realty in Mamaroneck. A native of Turkey, Erdem grew up in Switzerland and moved to Northern California in 2006, where she worked in property management for several years. Erdem is fluent in Kurdish, Turkish, German and French.

Caroline A. Kaplan recently moved back to New York from Florida where she worked in the concierge healthcare industry and owned and operated an outdoor boot camp. She is an alum of Baruch College.
Teresa Keys has 16 years of real estate experience, joining the firm from YCL Real Estate Consulting. She enjoyed a prior career as a public school teacher in Yonkers.

Jorge Mejia has held managerial positions in banking and worked as a financial coach. A native of Peru, he lives in White Plains, where he is involved in various city and county advisory boards.

Jenifer Moore, who is part of the Gino Bello sales team at Houlihan Lawrence, was most recently at Keller Williams Realty. She specializeds in the northern Westchester and Dutchess markets.

Emanuela Szabados comes from Keller Williams Realty. Szabados is a member of the Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors, New York State Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. She is fluent in Romanian.

Gary Voorhees was most recently with Keller Williams Realty. Voorhees is a member of the Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors, New York State Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.
Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty promoted Jennifer Cooper to sales manager of its Cold Spring Harbor office, one of the company’s leading offices and the number one office in Huntington Township. She had been the Assistant Sales Manager there.

Cooper is a Cold Spring Harbor native. She started at Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty in 2013 as an assistant to the top producing sales team of Peggy Moriarty and Margy Hargraves. She was named Assistant Sales Manager, working under Deborah Hauser in 2016.


Cooper was an elementary school teacher before entering the real estate field.
Halstead announced that Matthew Leone, formerly Chief Marketing Officer for Terra Holdings, has joined Halstead exclusively as its Chief Brand and Marketing Officer.

In this new position, Leone will continue to oversee marketing and further expand the firm’s brand activities in a dedicated capacity.

Leon has served Terra Holdings in various marketing positions for the past 13 years, most recently leading both Halstead and Brown Harris Stevens simultaneously through comprehensive re-brands.

In his new position, he will oversee a Brand Team exclusive to Halstead. Joining the team is Al Delaney, who previously served as both Halstead and Brown Harris Stevens’ Creative Director and will now be solely dedicated to Halstead.

Prior to joining Halstead, Leone worked at the sports marketing agency NSM, and was involved in the PGA Tour as well as the Big East Conference on experiential marketing and sponsorship opportunities.

He joined Terra in 2006 as marketing manager and was subsequently promoted to director of web marketing, chief marketing officer, and senior vice president digital marketing.

From 2014-2019 he oversaw marketing for both Halstead and Brown Harris Stevens.
