
Transwestern’s Houston headquarters has announced that Chip Clarke has been promoted to a newly created position of president, Americas to advance growth at the commercial real estate services firm that initially includes a services expansion into Latin America.
Clarke directs Transwestern’s overall operations in North and South America, and he oversees the firm’s brokerage services and property management projects across the Americas. Clarke previously served as president of the Gulf Coast and Mountain regions.
In his new role, Clarke is responsible for securing and growing all service lines in markets targeted for expansion by Transwestern. He handles the creation and management of strategic initiatives with international partners in the Americas, and he serves on Transwestern’s Executive Committee and Board of Directors.

Heard, Transwestern’s president and CEO. “We are scaling the organization to keep pace with our vision and aspirations and to be well-positioned for future growth.”
Transwestern’s nine regional offices in the U.S. have been reorganized into seven territories to further its industry-leading position across multiple markets. Presidents of the seven territories will report to Clarke and Mark Doran, COO of the firm.
During his tenure with the firm, Clarke directed the Gulf Coast and Mountain regions, opened the Denver office in 1997 and served as executive vice president in the Houston office leasing group. He has also been active in many of the firm’s office and healthcare initiatives. Prior to joining Transwestern, Clarke worked in the office services division at Trammell Crow Company in Denver for six years.
Clarke serves as chair for the Real Estate Community Relations Committee and executive advisory board member for the Graduate Real Estate Program at the University of Houston C.T. Bauer College of Business; member of the Board of Directors for the Houston chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP); member of the Houston chapter of the Urban Land Institute (ULI); vice president of the U.S. Lacrosse Houston chapter; member of the Board of Directions for the Rice Design Alliance; member of the Rise & Shine Committee for The Rise School of Houston; and member of the Campaign Steering Committee for SMU Unbridled.
