Former JLL rainmaker Glenn Tolchin has joined his longstanding partner Yoav Oelsner as a founding managing partner Upland Property Advisors, their new commercial real estate firm.

Tolchin said the firm will meet demand for advisory services that combine institutional quality and experience with focus of a boutique-style operation.
“We are a different type of firm, much more aligned with our clients’ entrepreneurial spirit than our corporate competitors,” said Tolchin.
“We are hands on from deal inception to closing, working in true partnership with our clients to accomplish their goals.”
Tolchin and Oelsner are seasoned capital markets professionals, each with nearly two decades of commercial real estate advisory experience and more than $20 billion in completed transactions at JLL, Cushman & Wakefield, and Grubb & Ellis.
Their sales have included some of New York’s most iconic properties such as the Plaza Hotel, the New York Gift Building, the Hammacher Schlemmer Building, and 90 West Street.
The firm has enjoyed early success securing exclusive sales assignments spanning a range of New York investment properties, including a 45,000 s/f mixed-use commercial redevelopment at 167 Bowery launched late last week.
It is also marketing an office and retail building at 433 Fifth Avenue and a three-level fashion headquarters facility at 142 Duane Street in Tribeca.
