Fast-growing teen apparel retailer, Rue 21 Inc., has tapped Sabre Real Estate Group for a roll-out of up to a dozen stores.
The Pittsburgh-based retailer, which currently operates two stores in Nassau and Suffolk Counties, intends to open more than a dozen stores in the region, said Beth Lamport, executive vice president of Sabre, who is representing the chain along with Sabre senior associate Doug Bomzer.
Rue 21‘s two Long Island stores are in Tanger Outlets at The Arches in Deer Park and the Westfield Sunrise Mall in Massapequa.
Officials of Rue 21, which has 800 stores in 46 states, have announced plans to open 120 stores nationally this year.
The chain is seeking well-located spaces ranging from 4,000 to 5,000 s/f.
“We are pleased to welcome Rue 21 to Sabre’s growing roster of national retail clients,” said Sabre managing principal Jayson Siano. “We are very excited to roll out a successful expansion program for such a great company.”
Lamport and Bomzer also represent such retailers as Ulta Beauty, Trader Joe’s, Tuesday Morning, Pet Supplies Plus, Chili’s, Maggiano’s and PGA Super Store.
Rue 21 sells fashion apparel and accessories for girls and guys, including graphic T-shirts, denim, dresses, shirts, hoodies, belts, jewelry, handbags, footwear, intimate apparel, and other accessories.
