TD Ameritrade relocating to Durst’s 1155 Avenue of the Americas

The Durst Organization announced that TD Ameritrade, Inc., a broker-dealer subsidiary of TD Ameritrade Holding Corporation, will be taking 5,227 s/f on the ground floor of 1155 Avenue of the Americas.

The deal is a 10-year extension from their lease expiration date at 1133 Avenue of the Americas, also a Durst property.

1155 Avenue of the Americas is currently undergoing a $110 million capital improvements program and a new retail store front and façade.

TD Ameritrade will operate at their 1133 location until their new space across the street at 1155 is completed in the second quarter of 2018.

“We are pleased to continue our long-term relationship with TD Ameritrade and welcome them as our first retail tenant since beginning our renovation program at 1155 Avenue of the Americas,” said Jonathan (Jody) Durst, President of The Durst Organization.

TD Ameritrade’s previous location at 1133, across the plaza from the Steinway showroom, is now available.

The jewel box space features south, east and north exposures and direct frontage onto Avenue of the Americas.  In addition to Steinway Pianos, Tourneau recently opened at 42nd and 6th Avenue and Whole Foods is expected to open in the spring of 2016.

TD Ameritrade was represented by senior vice president Annette M. Healy of CBRE. The Durst Organization was represented in-house by senior vice president of leasing Tom Bow and leasing manager Ashley Gee.
