Taxi boss looks to offload Bronx development site

New York taxi mogul Victor Weingarten is looking to sell another Bronx development site.

Weingarten has tapped Cushman and Wakefield to sell his garage site at 200 East 138th Street in Mott Haven and is looking for around $26 million for the site.

Robert Shapiro, Jonathan Squires and Josh Neustadter are leading marketing efforts for the property which occupied a 168,200-buildable-square-feet block-front at East 138th Street bound by Park Avenue and Canal Street West in the Mott Haven neighborhood of the Bronx.

“This site offers a rare opportunity to build at significant scale in Mott Haven,” said Shapiro. “One of the major advantages that this property has over many of the other developments built in Mott Haven is the incredible proximity to transportation. The 4 and 5 subway lines are directly across the street and the 6 train is three blocks away,” added Squires.

Last September, Weingarten sold the site at nearby 75 Canal Street West to the LLC 99 Evergreen for $11.57 million.
