Syska Hennessy takes 55,000 s/f at 1185 Avenue of Americas

SL Green announced that Syska Hennessy Group, Inc., the engineering company, has signed a 15-year, 55,016 s/f lease at 1185 Avenue of the Americas.

Syska Hennessy will occupy the entire 4th and 5th floors.

“The investment we’re making in 1185 Avenue of the Americas – a lobby and elevator cab renovation, along with a completed outdoor plaza renovation – is part of our strategy to upgrade our buildings on an on-going basis to ensure our tenants continue to enjoy industry leading amenities, service and best-in-class work environments. We’re delighted that Syska Hennessy selected 1185 for its headquarters locations,” said Steven Durels, Executive Vice President and Director of Leasing and Real Property at SL Green.

The 42-story, 1.1 million-square-foot Class-A office tower is located along the Avenue of the Americas business corridor, close to Bryant Park and the Rockefeller Center subway concourse. Other major tenants include Hess Corporation, 21st Century Fox, and King & Spalding.

Peter Riguardi, Cynthia Wasserberger and Hayley Shoener of Jones Lang La Salle represented Syska Hennessy on the transaction while Howard Tenenbaum and Gary Rosen represented SL Green in-house.
