PRD Realty Corp., a commercial and residential developer, property owner and management company, announced that Steve Madden and Trebbianno, LLC have signed long-term leases totaling over 60,000 s/f at 19 West 34th Street, also known as The Martin Building.
The 14-story building located between Fifth and Sixth Avenues in Midtown South will now serve as one of Steve Madden’s corporate offices and showrooms. Steve Madden is taking the entire fifth floor and part of the 4th and 8th floors, and using approximately 40,000 s/f.
Similarly, Trebbianno has leased 20,000 s/f on the entire seventh floor, and will also use the space as their office and showroom for its accessories collection.
“PRD Realty Corp. is pleased to welcome Steve Madden and Trebbianno as two long-term, highly reputable tenants to The Martin Building,” said Scott Damansky, principal of PRD Realty Corp.
“We are very excited about the upscale and top-grade renovations to the building, and believe our hands-on management approach over the last 30 years has allowed us to continue to attract exceptional occupants and retain long-term tenancies.”
Both the Steve Madden and Trebbianno leases follow major capital improvements made to the building, including a redesigned lobby, which is now adorned with slab-to-slab limestone and travertine stone imported from Italy, walnut wood panels, and Flos LED light fixtures, creating a modern and upscale atmosphere in the building.
Renovations also include three brand new high-speed passenger elevators, installation of over-sized and operable windows, and a new class ‘E’ fire alarm system.
Home to Banana Republic’s flagship store, the building has been owned and operated by PRD Realty Corp. for approximately 30 years.
Other tenants include Gold Medal International, Sociometric Institute, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and PRD Realty.
Current available space at 19 West 34th Street includes the 11th floor with 19,100 square feet and 13,700 s/f on the sixth floor.
